Biography: Sally de Dear grew up in Noosa in Queensland. She traveled abroad extensively. She has two daughters and is currently working on another children's book. 1st Book: House on the Pig Island, published by Little Red Apple Publishing in 2001. The story is set in tropical Queensland where twin sisters and their brother experience childhood challenges in their new school. But that's not all, they also experience the beauty and mystery of the Pig Island they solve together! Publishing experience: Sally was gracious and kind to share many aspects of publishing process with us, from acceptance to having to put in hard work herself doing promotions and networking.
