Sight-Seeing in and around Dalhousie? -

Satdhara Mica water spring, Punjpula, Teen dhara sulphur spring:

These spots are at walk able distance. In fact these act as stopovers for the next stretch All these are sources of water from the belly of the mighty Himalayas. Whereas water at Satdhara is known to be rich in Mica, Teendhara has high content of Sulphur both have medicinal properties. Punjpula has streams of water running through the forest. There is a caf?t Punjpula. They can also be covered? by taxi.

Subhash Baoli:

Subhash Baoli is natural water spring. This offers a pleasant walk from the shopping centre of Dalhouise.? It is said that the martyr Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose spent a number of hours daily at this place when he was in Dalhousie in 1942.

Karelnu Nullah:

This is a ravine running through the Kalatop bird santuary. This offers a splendid view of the dense deodar forests. The gushing waters sound music to ears.??

Jandrighat:

This is a palace of the Raja of Chamba. This used to serve as the resort when the Raja was away from capital for game in the nearby jungles.

Khajjiar:

Khajjiar has been named as Mini Switzerland of India. The place has a saucer shaped plain with a lake in the middle. The lake has a floating island. This plain is surrounded by dense deodar forest. Among other attractions is the horse ride on the perephery of khajjiar. At a distance of 22 km from Dalhousie, this is an ideal location to spend all the day.

Kalatop:

Kalatop is a wildlife sanctuary. A treat for the nature lovers to walk through the dense Deodar forest and have a beautiful spot for picnic for the day.

Rock-Garden:

A beautiful spot for day picnic. The children love walking through the stream and enjoy themselves.

Chamera Lake:

A beautiful spot, one can enjoy looking at the vast reservoir of Ravi water before it falls from the height to generate electricity.

Chamba:

Chamba was the capital of the famous Chamba State. This is located on the banks of the river - Ravi. Chamba it has one of the oldest Temples of the country. This is the lakshmi narayan temple constructed in the Oriya architecture style.The fine Art & Crafts of the Phari peopIe are testimony to teh civilization of this hill state.Chamba has a Museum displaying some rare artifacts.
