Storm Dragons Chapter
Origins:
Created just after the founding of the Calixian Conclave. The Conclave decided that the sector needed a new Chapter of Space Marines in order to combat the more extreme threats to the sector. Most of these threats were from the Denizens of the Warp, but later included the Xenos and Heretics of the sector.
History:
Very little is actually recorded about the Chapter as they work secretly against the threats to the Imperium as agents of the Inquisition. What is known is that members of the Chapter have been behind the scenes of battles and cult uprisings, taking out leaders to end conflicts early and decisively. They have also on ocassion taken on the roles of Stealth Enforcers for Inquisitors to perform delicate missions where stealth was required and muscle was an excellant back-up.
Appearance:
The brothers of the Chapter are usually pale with varied hair and eye color. Slightly taller than the average humans at 2.2m and with slender frames and extremely defined muscles. They move with the natual grace of predators.
Their armour is normal power armour with the plating resembling dragon scales from medieval Earth. Some of the Brothers have added tech-wings that allow them low altitude flight and gliding abilities. A few even go so far as to have cybernetic wings attached to their bodies along their spines. Some even have claws implanted where their fingernails belong. This is done to resemble the Dragons they are named after.
Combat Doctrine: Pyrokinetic Stealth Dragon Marines
Predators and masters of the silent kill, capable of using extreme force in overwhelming situations. That is the most basic way to describe the Storm Dragons. They all possess powerblades and boltpistols with a few special Brothers have powerswords and boltguns. The attack by sneaking in close and activating their powerblades just as they strike then they withdraw silently. On the few times they are caught off-guard they switch to blade in one hand and pistol in the other and simply explode in movement unleasing a steady flow of death and destruction. They use their stealth to flank or get behind their enemies, then attack and move again. Similiar to Urban and guerilla warfare tactics.
Every member of the Chapter has basic Psyker ability. They use these powers to assist them in their missions and combat. The focus they use are always some kind of Daemon artifact, be it bone or dried flesh or even just a simple symbol. A select few are trained further as pyrokinetics or pyromancers. These select individuals are both honored and watched. They embody the ideal of the order being like Storm Dragons in that the fire they call forth is silver not red in color. Their primary doctrine is to sneak in and unleash waves of furious fire upon their targets.
Organisation
Once selected, Storm Dragon Neophytes are given training in standard Marine combat tactics. They are also given careers based off of their abilities and their gene-seed. The thousand brothers of the Chapter are roughly divided into five groups. Stormers, Shadowstormers, Firestormers, Lyrs, Templars.

The Stormers are the main fighting force and use full ten man stealth kill-teams.
The Shadowstormers are the scouts, infiltrators and assassins using one to four man kill-teams.
The Firestormers are the keepers of knowledge, lore and are the Psykers of the Chapter. Unlike most Chapters the Storm Dragons delve as far into the pyrokinetic arts that they can, both to protect their brothers and destroy their enemy psykers.
The Lyrs are the medics and the keepers of the gene-seed and implants. They are trained to perform their duty on and off the feild of battle.
The Templars are the holy men of the Chapter. The Divine Knights of the Emperor. They watch over the minds and souls of their brothers, and pay extra attention to the Firestormers and their psykic activities.

Every squad in the 2nd Company is made of one high ranking Templar, one Lyr and eight Firestorms per squad, effectively a company of Firestorms. Every squad in the 3rd Company consist of one high ranked Shadowstorm, a Lyr and Shadowstorms in each squad, with a Templar watching over two squads. All other companies and their squads consist of a leader Tempest or higher, a Templar, a Lyr and non-lader ranked marines.
Three more positions of note are the Chapter Master whose title is known as Stormlord, the head of the psyker/librarians known as the Firelord and the leader of the Templars known as the Storm Templar.

The last thing of note is the Techs of the Chapter. These are servants and servitors, not Marines. In using stealth the chapter uses carapace armour more then the power armour, unless they expect a major battle or want to end a situation quickly. The Chapter always has one to two squads per company in power armour. The 1st company keeps all squads in power armour with six squads wearing Terminator armour as elites.
