Ghost Recon 2 Coming to GCN

Looks like Ghost Recon 2 is coming to Nintendo's GameCube after all. The game was already released to the PS2 and X-Box on November 30, 2004 and November 16, 2004, respectively. It is slated to be released on PC March 15, 2005 and will ship for the GCN sometime in the spring.

Yahoo! Finance is reporting that Sony has just announced the official release date and price of their new handheld system, the PSP. So, what is the release date and price? March 24, 2005 for $249.99. This price is quite a bit more expensive than has been recently speculated, but still less than the original price that was leaked (read: rumored). Sony has chosen to not ship a non-Value Pack, cheaper version of the PSP. The Value Pack comes bundled with 32 MB Memory Stick Duo(TM), headphones with remote control, battery pack, AC adaptor, soft case and cleaning cloth, movie/music/game video sampler UMD disc including multiple non-interactive game demos, and for the first one million PSP Value Packs shipped, a special UMD video release of the feature film Spider-Man(TM) 2 from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

 More Delays on the Way for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

According to THQ's website, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl is set for yet another delay. The latest release date had been set for May, but is now unknown. I had been excited for this game, but all these delays are beginning to get a little ridiculous. Hopefully we'll see this game before the end of time, lest it should become another Duke Nukem Forever.

 D.I.C.E. Names Half-Life 2 Game of the Year

38 D.I.C.E. awards were given out last night in Las Vegas. Half-Life 2 was up for 10 awards, but only brought home 9 awards. Included in its winnings were Game of the Year, First Person Action Game of the Year, and Computer Game of the Year. The only category it didn't win its nomination was in Outstanding Achievement in Game Design.
