Well it's been along time again. System has been very unactive so there hasn't been much news really. This year
I hope to completly update this page so look forward to that. I want to make the whole index page flash, we'll have
to see how that turns out. Later all.

It has been along time since I have made any updates. I'm enjoying my summer and System has been pretty inactive.
Well i finally got around to an update. I have added dozens of pics. More updates to come.

25 New System Songs Made Taken From SoadDotCom New SOAD music emotionally inspired by war in Iraq
Daron has been writing music for the follow-up to the band's Toxicity, and he has over 25 musical compositions
written. Malakian said a lot of his inspiration for the new music comes from the emotions of having family in
Iraq during the recent war. "The last two or three months or whenever that happened was probably the toughest
time of my whole life. Because it was like not knowing what's going on until we got a phone call. And we get a
phone call and they're OK and we can breathe a little bit. For one month I didn't know if a bomb dropped on my
grandmother's house or, you know what I mean? I didn't know. It could have. It brought out a lot of good
material--not necessarily political music, just emotional music, you know?"
Even though Malakian's family was safe and sound, the pain of war hit home when relatives of one of his best
friends were innocent bystanders killed in the war.
Malakian says that while he has 25 System Of A Down tunes written, he hasn't gotten together with the rest of
the band to start the lyric writing and recording process.

Serart Release this Month
System of a Down memeber Serj Tankian's side project with legendary Armenian artist Arto Tuncboyaciyan
named Serart will be released on May 20th 2003. This album is full of traditional sounds of the
Armenian culture. I encourage checking it out.

System of a Down Writing New Material
System of a Down is supposed to be on a break so Serj and Daron can work on other bands
but that hasn't stopped the bands progression on a fourth album. "It's going to be
pretty revolutionary," Odadjian said at Thursday's Music Video Production Association Awards.
"We're taking everything we've done and canning it. We're starting fresh as a brand new band.
So you're going to hear this new music. It's going to be System, but it's going to be a new
tip. We did what we did, and at first people were like, 'They're doing something no one's
done.' Now we're going to do something else that will get the same kind of reaction."

A new record from System of a Down is expected in 2004, and promises to be something
completely new.
