| FRUTA/*FRUTA - GM (Komuste X Rauda II by Trueno IV) Bred by D. Juan Del Cid Tail Female: Verana. The double inverted C brand belongs to the oldest consequitive breeder of Spanish arabians in Spain , D. JUAN DEL CID Y CALONGE. Family tradition kept their arabians on large unfenced land tracts with only a herder or two mounted on mules for vigilance. This resulted in the deveolpment of a partticularly sturdy arabian. Watered at one end and fed at the other, the Del Cid arabians are known for being trail wise, easy feeders and possessing tremendous stamina. PEPETE was bred by Juan Del Cid as was our valient mare *FRUTA and her sire , KOMUSTE. Purchased at one of the Del Cid family auctions held once every 10 years and crammed into an open truck with her colt for delivery to Mallorca FRUTA arrived wild-eyed. The colt died within ten days. It was only the mare's grief that allowed us to get a halter on her. *FRUTA gave us 11 foals . All very atheletic and just as wary as she. Once bonded both dam and progeny were extremely loyal but no way could a stranger get near them in the field. *FRUTA's six sons have all excelled in Stock Work, Team Roping, Competitive Trail and Western Pleasure. Her daughters have English Pleasure type motion and are excellent broodmares which pass on her qualities of breediness, strong clean legs , stamina and desert breeding. |

Tradicionalmente, los caballos arabes son pastados en areas grandissimos sin cualquer tipo de barrera, solamente con un pastor montado sobre una mula.para un poco de vigilancia. |
| Asi los caballos arabes de este Hierro estan conocidos por sus fuerzas, sus conocimentos instinctos de la vida del campo y en una manera especial - sus fidelidades. Una vez domado y con confianza en su dueno, ellos hacian qualquer pidio. Pero un disconocido no podia cercarse por nada. FRUTA era comprado a uno de las subastas puestos cada diez anos por la Yeguada Del Cid. Venia con su potrillo, Agamenon, por Ciceron - hijo de Xamir y de excellente calidad. Pepete ya tenia los 22 anos y estuvimos esperanzas de remplacerle con este potro. Pero no era posible. El viaje era demasiado duro y sobrevivia solamente por diez dias mas. *FRUTA tenia 11 productos en toatal : Los 6 hijos destacando en RAID, Reining , Carreras de Barriles y Carreras Punta a Punta. Sus hijas son yeguas madres buenissimas y traspasan movimentos del tipo English Pleasure con un poderoso trote. |
