When Love captures us in our youth our fantasies are endless,
Lust, Marriage, Babies and white picket fences.
As the years progress and our dreams unweave,
Our hearts once full of Love begin to grieve.
Another Love, Another chance awakens our soul,
Older and wiser with more realistic goals.
A Love we created from desire and need,
A Love wide open for vultures to feed.
Was it me? Was them expecting too much?
Was it ever Love or my need for a reassuring touch?
Another Love, Another chance has my head reeling,
Do I trust? Do I care? Do I give in to this feeling?
Another Love, Another chance, Another place in time,
A better understanding of where to draw the line.
My heart still raw from wounds I thought could not heal,
Has found there is Love so strong and so real.
Your warmth, your smile and the depth in your eyes,
Have shattered the walls I built for disguise.
You have touched a place I thought no longer alive,
A place only you can enter and thrive.
Another Love, Another Chance,
A Real Love, A Real Chance.
