Kevin Andrew Isenhour

Kevin was my third child and I was just as excited as if he were my first. He was a beautiful baby with strawberry blonde hair and blue/green eyes. As he grew older he became a rambunctious child with more energy than any one child should have. He was a real handful but he had a heart of gold. His loving spirit and playful energy could not be contained. We will always miss him and there will always be an empty place in our hearts without him. Kevin was with us on this earth for only 11 years but he lived more in 11 years than most people live in a lifetime.
It was almost the end of the school year, May 15, 2001, after I was already at work that morning, Kevin called me while he was waiting for the bus. I don't remember why he called I just know that the last thing I said to him was "I Love You, Baby". When Kevin came home from school that day he immediately left to go play. Without permission and knowing that he was not supposed to, Kevin went to his friend's house and they went to a nearby private lake to swim. Kevin went under and for some undetermined reason did not re-surface.
As a Christian and a child of God, we have no doubt that God called Kevin home to be with Him. We are comforted knowing that Kevin is with God. I have always believed in telling your children that you love them, even when they mis-behave, you should let them know that you still love them. I am at peace in my heart knowing that the last words I spoke to Kevin were "I Love You, Baby".
Don't let the chance go by without saying "I Love You" to the people that you Love. You never know when it will be the last chance you ever get.
