For Denise, you really are my best friend.

You were there when my life was tattered,
And all my dreams were shattered,
When I thought it was too much to bear
My best friend, you were there.

You were there when I picked up the pieces
And when I found out what real peace is.
When His grace lifted me from my despair
My best friend, you were there.

We have laughed and we have cried,
We have shared and we have tried,
When all I needed was someone to care
My best friend, you were there.

My heart cannot find the words to say,
But you always seem to know anyway,
What your friendship means and how much I care
My best friend, I pray you will always be there.
