Billing System

Analyzed the system and support the COBOL I code written in an ICL/VME environment. Tested, corrected, and updated code converted from COBOL/IDMSX to IBM MVS/ESA and COBOLII/VSAM.

Customer Accounting Billing System – Programming and Support

Provided programming and support leadership during the conversion of the system from COBOL/CICS VSAM to COBOL/CICS DB2.

Direct Debit Cash Payment Plan System

Served as Project/Team Lead/Analyst for the creation of online and batch programs in COBOL/CICS, DB2 with SQL to run within the Measured Billing System.

Major Responsibilities:

·        Worked with vendors to specify programs, write online and batch programs (COBOL/CICS DB2, SQL), test high speed modem lines, and implement the system;

·        Provided data requirements to the programmers in my team;

·        Assisted with programming;

·        Led testing efforts;

·        Trained users;

·        Provided post-deployment system support;

·        Fully documented system and created User guide.

Refund, Billing, and Payment Allocation Systems

Enhanced and maintained, COBOL/CICS DB2 system programs with new SQL to enhance the systems performance.

Major Responsibilities:

·        Utilized Xpediter in the testing of both batch and on-line CICS/COBOL/SQL;

·        Worked on the conversion of the company data from VSAM to files for uploading to DB2 tables.
