After High School, I went to College at Boise State University where I was majoring in Biology with a minor in Criminal Justice. From there I was hoping to go to Washington State University for a Veterinary Degree. In my softmore year, I met LeAnn Paulsen, who was from Idaho Falls, Idaho. I ended up working for the state Fish and Game dept. that next summer and we were married that same summer. I never went back to College.
I was married to LeAnn for about nine years and we had four sons, to who I never really got to know very well. My oldest boys,
Donovan and Vaughn, did try to see and get to know me as the years went by. The youngest two, Shaun and Tyler, I have never got to know. ( - To my sons; ...  I wish that things could have been different !!! )
During the time I was married to LeAnn I was In the US Air Force and after my tour I went into a special Electronics school, where I became knowledgable in Computer Technology. LeAnn and I got divorced in the fall of 1983. We are still friends...
That same fall, the company I worked for moved me to Seattle WA, where I met and happily later married,
Judy Ferris. We spent 9 years together in Washington, Colorado, and Utah. We had three children together; Ashley, Kyle, and Sterling. We lost Ashley to a "Black Ice" auto accident on Dec 19th, 1987. She was two years and two months old, and her loss to Judy and myself  eventually ( in my opinion ... ) led to the disolution of our happy relationship together. Nothing was the same, and my life has never been "right" since... During the last few years together, we broke apart once and tried to mend the void created after we lost our daughter. It was during this "mending - time" that Sterling was born, and as if we needed to add to our great distress, lost him only ten days later. Judy decided she could no longer deal with things, and was also seeing a neighbor who was a member of our church, so she applied for a divorce (She remarried a different member of the Mormon Church in the Logan Temple six months later). There are many of my friends and my family who still wonder how I (or even if I did) manage to get through that tough and difficult time. I still wonder myself.......
I would like to say here and now that of all the women I've known in my lifetime, Judy ("Janzy") was, and always will be my first "True" love. I'm not sure if I can or ever will be the kind of person I was then again, but..........
I will always love you "Janz"
The year after Judy and I finally broke up I took EMT Training with EMEDCO in Sandy, UT, and also attended classes at Salt Lake Community College (in Salt Lake City, Utah), for Cat. I Police Academy Training. I finished up a year later by taking the Cat. II training  in West Valley, Ut at the state Police Academy. After completing the Cat II training I went back to Washington state to try to start over. Judy and I have not seen each other since 1991 (Since we lost track of each other my parents and my other sons have not seen or heard from Kyle either,....... since the fall of 1991).
In Washington state I worked doing armed security for various companies, including the Washington State Patrol at one of the local college campuses. I was also working doing computer repair and networking services. I had many special friends in my life during this time, but noone I was attached to...
In the fall of 1999 I had the opportunity to go to Prince of Wales Island in Alaska with a friend and co-worker (
Michael Brown) to help open a computer repair shop, so off to Alaska I went. The shop didn't work, but I moved to Juneau, and stayed. I made many friends who mean very much to me in Alaska. But there is one couple, one young man, and one young lady who will always be in my heart from now on. Rob & Tasha, Patrick, & Cindy,...... I really miss you guys.....................
From Juneau, in the spring of 2001 I moved to Arizona to be with someone I knew since I was out of high school.
Kathy Harris had been riding horses when I used to help my brother Jan, and she wanted to have someone in her life she could believe in. We worked on getting her Grandparents ranch in Dolan Springs, AZ going, but it just didn't work. I moved into Las Vegas in the fall of 2002, to plan on going back to either Idaho or Alaska in the spring or summer of 2003.

*** More to Come .......
I was born in Jerome, Idaho, in March of 1954. My childhood was both happy and lucky because I was adopted by two of the greatest and most wonderful people I have ever known, Lee E. & Dorothy Nichols.
My father and mother were from South Dakota and they adopted me because mom couldn't have kids. My dad had three sons from a previous marraige, but never had a chance to raise them, and see them grow up. Two of my brothers,
Larry and Jan, did manage to come and see us after they left their grandparents back in South Dakota. Ray, who is the oldest, was lost to us for a while after he went into the Navy. My brother Jan found him again in 1974 and I finally got to meet him in 1983.
So I grew up on a small ranch in Southern Idaho where I learned the old fashioned values associated with helping to take care of the animals on a ranch (or farm),  and  having friends in a small community with very tight-knit and  caring families. I also grew up loving the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
These four  families created the extended family that instilled in me the values that I hold so dear to me today. They were
the Moats Family, the Campbell Family, and the Larsen Family. Along with My Parents, and my teachers, I owe these wonderful people so much that I will never be able to express all the love and gratitude I feel, for being part of my childhood, ........and they will always be in my heart, my thoughts, and prayers.

Am working my tail off... but everything is going great (just need more hours in the day for some extra sleep - LOL).
I have been working as an Assistand State-Zone District Manager for the local paper here in Idaho Falls for a couple of months now, and I really like it,...  it is fun and interesting to be handling all the motor route and carrier issues outside of the Idaho Falls area. I'm also getting ready to drive bus for the school district this fall so I will be really busy during the weekday...
I've also been working on my own little business idea that I started last fall with teaching a new way of shooting called "LPS fist-fire" and going from gun-show to gun-show during the week-ends here in the northwest states, ID-MT-UT-WY . I've been doing this with one of my kids and one of my friends sons. It's both rewarding and lots of fun...
Besides my 2 labs, I just got a 4 yr old registered "foundation" quarterhorse stud that I'm working with.  I'm also putting together a little woodshop to make a light-weight duckboat for hunting that I've has a design for for a couple of years...
I guess I'm burning the candle at all the ends, but I am having fun, and ......

I'd like you to meet Jennifer and her son, Jan.

I'd almost given up on finding anyone I wanted to share my life with... and have been holding out ... hoping and praying that someday I would have someone wonderful to share life with.
Last year, I was looking at a young lady in WA state, and I had some hope. but Marie passed away in August of 2006.

Jennifer and Jan are from Calbayog City, Calbayog Philippines and will be here in ID this fall...
