My Ancestors are mainly Native American Indians, They believe that they are and were the Original Americans. To them the picture to the right would not only be a Symbol but also a representation of the Spirit of the Wind. To the Indians, animals were and still are often associated in Spirit with Man or Woman. They have a unique link to either the Man or Woman in the Spirit. And thus the abilities in Spirit are shared by Both. And yet they in time become One. |

The Medicine bag. A thing Sacred to most if not all Indians. From the creation of the Medicine bag until it's owner rides the Last Trail, it is a given that the Owner is the only One allowed to use the Medicine within. Medicine Men and Women also wear such bags and they are used for the truthful purposes of Medicine. Each bag is designed to fit the Owner some however can not be touched by many as I have heard it said "I can not hold it, it has way to much power for me." Some bags are designed for everyday wear such as this one is, others; however, are more intricate since they are for ceremonies or called Ceremonial Medicine bags. |

Each item as it is made on the bag has it's own meaning, such as this one does; yet like the Spirits, it has it's own and it is to be respected. |

This next Medicine Bag I would call Ceremonial. Look carefully at the definitions on the Bag and you might see a surprise or two. Here the Symbols have more meaning as well. And they can also be Spirits to represent the person and the Bag |

I have a friend, who; when she found out I wore My Medicine Bag, as she was reaching inside it; quickly removed her hand saying that she was wrong for reaching in it. She apologized quickly knowing that the Bags Spirits might harm her. Her knowledge of the Indian ways, she well repsects; and for her sudden realization I acknowldged and accepted her apology knowing that My Medicine Bag had accepted her apology as well. |
