The First Aid component of the Medic Alert Camp starts Friday evening and allows the older youth to receive their standard St John's Ambulance First Aid and CPR certification. |
The Woodsman component, designed for 1st year youth, teaches them the basic skills in handling and using knives, saws and axes, compasses, stoves and lanterns, basic lashing, outdoor cooking and matches and fire-lighting. |

The Pioneering program is designed for 2nd and 3rd year youth to teach them lashings through building a variety of increasingly difficult structures. |
A new feature this year was a Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) station, where the youth were able to communicate with others around the world. (even with some in a boat on the Amazon River!) |
The Leadership course is designed for PL's and APL's, to teach them leadership and team building skills. |
The "Big Three" - Camp cook Rottin' Ronnie, Leadership Course Leader Dave Lyon, and JOTA master Brent Craig. |
Camp Closing by Camp Chief Claire Johnstone - a job well done! |
