Along comes March and time for me to head off to sunnier climes. I hadn't had a proper holiday for years, so - being self-employed - I took myself to Australia and New Zealand for 6 weeks. I have some very dear friends out there and, besides seeing two new countries, it was also good to see them for more than the usual few hours every other year. Sydney is a fantastic town - it's warm, friendly, clean, spacious, cheap to get around and cheap to eat out (so nothing like dirty, expensive grumpy old London then). If you live there I'm very jealous, and if you've never been... go!!! I'd emigrate without giving it a second thought.
