you and you will live

 

Gen 20:7 Now return the man's wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for

you and you will live. But if you do not return her, you may be sure

that you and all yours will die."

Isaac prayed to the LORD

Gen 25:21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was

barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became

pregnant.

Jacob prayed

Gen 32:9 Then Jacob prayed, "O God of my father Abraham, God of my father

Isaac, O LORD, who said to me, `Go back to your country and your

relatives, and I will make you prosper,'

 

Gen 32:11 Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid

he will come and attack me, and also the mothers with their

children.

 

Exodus 8:8 Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Pray to the LORD to

take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your

people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD."

 

Exodus 8:9 Moses said to Pharaoh, "I leave to you the honor of setting the

time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that

you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that

remain in the Nile."

Exodus 8:28 Pharaoh said, "I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the LORD

your God in the desert, but you must not go very far. Now pray for

Exodus 8:29 Moses answered, "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the LORD,

and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and

his people. Only be sure that Pharaoh does not act deceitfully

again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the

LORD."

Moses prayed

Exodus 8:30 Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD,

 

Exodus 9:28 Pray to the LORD, for we have had enough thunder and hail. I will

let you go; you don't have to stay any longer."

 

I will spread

out my hands in prayer to the LORD

king commanded. After that, God answered prayer in behalf of the

2 Sam 24:25 David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt

offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer

in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

Elijah … prayed

 

1 King 18:36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and

prayed: "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be

known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant

and have done all these things at your command.

Hezekiah prayed

 

2 King 19:15 And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD: "O LORD, God of Israel,

enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the

kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

 

2 King 19:20 Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: "This is what

the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I have heard your prayer

concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria.
