Okay this one started out as a project that I wanted to try and chop the top on. It started out as AMT's '50 Chevy pickup. I gave the top a scale 5 inch chop. The paint scheme came from a picture of one I had seen in a car magazine. I knew once it was painted that the 6 cylinder would not go with it. So I decided to use the Fuel Injected 427 out of the 67 Impala Street Machine kit. Then i realized the big block wouldn't fit between the frame rails. At the same time I decided I would try and dropp in in the weeds alittle. So I spliced and Zed the frame from the 67 kit in the front. The rear frame from the 67 was narrowed and spliced in also. I used MAS photo etched rotorsand Calipers on it. The wheels are from the Mimic series fromPat Dunnivan. The windows are the origianls that were cut down and polished out. the seats are from a Corvette kit. the steering wheel is from the 67 kit. the steering column is scratch built. I scratch built a head liner and added a stereo face from detail master to it. there is a CD sticking out of the vent slots on the dash . That is to show where the Cd player is. there is a Cd in Cases on the seat as a photo reduced Scale Auto mag along with a set of keys on a key ring. The exhaust is scratch built with Super Trapp's added. |
