Science in Islam
Creation of man in the Qur'an
"Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay);
The We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;
Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (fetus) lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with the flesh; then We developed out of it another creature. So blessed be God, the Best to create."
Al Mu' minun (23:12-14)
Creation of nature in the Qur'an
"And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-
And at the mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
And at the Earth, how it is spread out?"
Al- Ghashiyah (88:18-20)
"Sees thou not that God makes the clouds move gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap? then wilt thou see rain issue forth from their midst. And He sends down from the Sky mountain masses (of clouds) wherein is hail: He strikes therewith whom He pleases and He turns it away from whom He pleases, the vivid flash of His lightening well-nigh blinds the sight.
It is God who alternates the Night and the Day: verily in these things is an instructive example for those who have vision!
And God has created every animal from water: of them there are some that creep on their bellies; some that walk on four. God creates what He wills for verily God has power over all things."
Al-Nur (24:43-45)
