Once upon a time, there was a king who remarried another woman who was not his original queen. This woman gave birth to a boy named Koji Nanjo, but after that, she left the family. The king was so happy to have another son that he threw a party to celebrate the birth of his youngest son, Koji. Mind you, he already had 2 other sons who were both sent to boarding school.

Anyway, all the wealthy people rocked up to the party. The king was happy to see all the expensive gifts that they had brought for his son. He contemplated on having more sons and chucking a party for them all.

Just as the party began, the eldest son, Hirose returned from boarding school to find what he was about to miss out on. He walked up to his father and said, "How come you chuck a party for him and not for me? You never chuck parties for me! And you were about to start the party without me! That's it! I've had it up to here already. I wish that when he that son of yours grow up, he'll prick his finger on a spinning wheel and become a vegetable for the rest of his life."

The king was depressed to hear this because normally whatever Hirose wishes for would eventually come true. Like, when he wanted a younger brother and along came Akihito. He wondered if Hirose had made a pact with the devil to grant his every wish. But at that moment, a little fairy appeared to the king. Either this was a miracle or the king had too many drinks.

"Hello, my name is Katsumi but you can call me Katsumi," said the fairy. "We fairies grant all wishes but can't undo any, so all you have to do is make another wish to save your son."

The king was so happy to hear this. He wished that his son will not become a vegetable for the rest of his life.

"Alright then," said Katsumi. "Your son will only become a vegetable until he is awoken by a prince who will be his one true love."

Now the king was relieved but he wasn't too sure about the one true love thing. He wanted to be sure Hirose's wish wouldn't come true so he ordered all the spinning wheels in the land to be destroyed.

Years later, Koji grew up to be a sexy bishounen and a mighty fine singer. One day, after his concert, Koji went backstage and found a spinning wheel in his dressing room. Wondering what the heck it was doing there, he walked towards it and reached out a hand to push it aside. But, just as he did, he pricked his finger and fell to the ground. Another point for Hirose.

Koji was rushed to the hospital where the doctors announced that he had become a vegetable. The king could do nothing more except wait for the prince who would awaken his son. He waited and waited and waited and still waited. Actually, at this point he was getting kinda sick of waiting so he split and ditched Koji at the hospital.

One day, a young prince who loved to play soccer walked by Koji's room at the hospital. No points for guessing what his name is. The prince saw that the door was open so out of curiosity he entered. And lo and behold, there before him lay the most beautiful vegetable patient he had ever seen.

Slowly, he walked over to the bed where Koji lay. Bending gently over his silent form, the prince kissed him lightly on the lips. Suddenly Koji's eyelids fluttered. Koji awoke and saw standing before him the sexy young prince who had awoken him.

The young prince freaked with embarassment when Koji awoke. "Argh! I thought you were meant to be a vegetable."

Koji smile. "I was until I met you. You are my one true love."

And since that day, the young prince named Izumi has not been able to get Koji off his back. (Pauses for a moment) Now, why does that line sound funny? Anyway, like every fairy tale, they live happily ever after......well sort of......on second thought, maybe not.

The End
