Since our boys' birthdays are less than 3 weeks apart, we decided to have a double party for both the boys on a Saturday between their birthdays.   We would invite the same family and friends for each of them, so it made sense to do it this way. I made and decorated these cakes myself--I used the Wilton character cake pans, and just followed the directions.  Though it was an all-day project to decorate both cakes!  This is the first time I have ever done this kind of cake decorating, and without the benefit of taking classes for it!   They came out well, if I do say so myself!   LOL Each boy had their own theme (like their cake), and I was able to blend the themes by using party-ware and decorations in both themes.   I also printed free coloring pages of Blue and Pikachu that I found on the internet, for all the kids to color at the party and take home afterwards.   The party was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed it very much.  :)
