Learn the ancient Chinese method of relaxation and health by
discovering Tai Chi. I gave
traditional Yang style Tai
Chi classes in the Cape Town suburbs
Rondebosch and
Kuilsriver. Now I am based in Hamburg/Germany. Check my Hamburg webpage for information on classes. The Tai Chi
Short Form is a beautiful set of movements that you will learn as
one of the first exercises. The 10 Guiding
Points of Tai Chi will help you to understand the principles. You
should read them occationally again and again.
For more information on Tai Chi you can read journals like the Tai Chi Magazine, the
Qi-Journal or browse the internet for Tai Chi webpages. The Yang Family Tai Chi
Association also can provide you with some more information.
However, the instructions by a human teacher are invaluable and cannot
be replaced by any written explanation. He or she can also answer your
individual questions much better then any book or video. The Tai Chi family tree tells you who my
teacher and teacher's teachers are to give you an idea about my
background. Occationally we do Tai Chi
demonstrations for fairs, launches, festivals or fund raisers. If
you are interested to watch (and talk) to us, contact me about our
next exhibition.
And what do Madam & Eve have to say to Zen Philosophy, meditation and martial arts? (You do not need to be of any particular religion to practice Tai Chi. You might just be interested in Eastern thinking.)
