My first superbike, well, if you can call a 400cc sportsbike that. Purchased in August 1992, it had one previous owner who took good care of it.
This CBR400RR, code NC23 is a 1989 model and registered in 1990. Damn good learners bike, light and nimble. Base colour is pearl white with blue. This bike, they say, was the base on which Honda designed and built the CBR900RR Fireblade. The subsequent model, code NC29 launched in 1992 actually looks like a mini Fireblade. As this is a Japanese-spec model, the speedo reads to only 180km/h but easily reaches that point and goes a bit further. Had to sell it in mid-1994 to buy the Ducati 900SS. Fond memories... |
