Part I
Opening:
the Prince & Princess, together with the pages and maids, greet the audiences
The 4 leading characters show up:
- Hans Axel von Fersen: carries Antoinette's loved doll (Stephen), recalls his love to the Queen "Ai no Omokage" (Traces of Love)
- Marie Antoinette (Red Rose): "Aoki Donau no Kishibe" (On the shore of Blue Danue)
- Oscar Francois de Jarjayes (White Rose) & Andre Grandie : "Ai are bakoso" (If There Is Love)
- Antoinette & Fersen: "Ai are bakoso" (If There Is Love)

1. Flash Back in Austria / Dream Horse Cart:
Austrian Empress Maria-Theresa talks to Comte de Mercy about diplomatic marriage of her daughter - Marie Antoinette & the French Dauphin Louis XVI. Litte Antoinette enjoys her luxury life much. She also loves her doll (Stephen) very much. Antoinette promises her Empress mother being a good French Queen, etc. etc. Little Antoinette farewells to Austria , carries her rose dreams to France (Carriage with Dreams)

2. Prsent Time in Versailles:
Comte de Mercy visits the French Queen Antoinette / Antoinette welcomes Mercy and tells her life in Versailles.She says she miss Austria and her loved doll, Stephen. Mercy comforts the Queen. A group of noble women come in. Antoinette feels being bothered. The noble women drive Mercy away and ask if the Queen does any gambling recently, etc. Suddenly, a voice stops the noble women. It's the Palace Guard Head, Oscar. The noble women all crazy for Oscar (especially the Duchess) / Oscar greets Antoinette and begs her stop seeing Fersen for the sake of her reputation and France. She hopes Antoinette let Fersen back to Sweden / Antoinette thanks Oscar's cares, and tells Oscar how her meaingless life alives again, and fulls of dreams - after meeting Fersen. The Queen leaves, leaving Oscar alone.

3. Gerodelle (once proposed to Oscar, but is rejected) comes in. He realizes Oscar, being the head of Palace, worries. He comforts Oscar and says he will support her. He also shows his concerns and cares to Oscar.Oscar thnaks him.

4. On the other side, it's Fersen:
Fersen miss the Queen. He sings how eager he wants to catch the love . Oscar asks Fersen to stop seeing the Queen - if he really loves Antoinette and wants her in felicity. Fersen answers that his love to the Queen is embedded into his heart. Oscar is upset for Fersen not only cares less his illed love to Antoinette, and he never knows Oscar loves him either. Oscar says Fersen only thinks of his queen , and she asks God why the 3 people from different courties meet in the same place, and how their destiny changed in a masquare, etc. She says no one realizes her feminine heart inside "Ai no Junrei" (Pilgrim of Love)

5. In the Palace Garden, on a Lake, night time:
Antoinette and Fersen ignore Oscar's warning and meet secretly. Antoinette says the routine royal life makes her breathless, she feels better at night time / She tells Fersen her story (from Austria to France, became the daupline, the the Queen, etc.) / The Queen says she would never forget the first time she met Fersen, how her meaningless life changed, etc.. The two declare love to each other "Ai are Bakoso" ( If There Is Love)

6. In Oscar's House:
Rosalie and her husband Bernard (once was the Black Knight, now a reporter) visit Oscar. Rosalie tells Andre that she lives well with Bernard. Andre is glad about that. Berrnard tells Andre the situation of the Congress, something is changing now in France .... Bernard also worries Oscar in that chaotic time...Andre aks Bernard worries not as he will protect Oscar and be with her always.

7. In Fersen's House:
Comte de Mercy goes to visit Fersen and begs him goes back to Sweden / Fersen says they all only care the country, but not Antoinette herself / Comte de Mercy tells how danger the situation they are in, he again begs Fersen consdiers twice.... Fersen is desperate.

8. A group of noble women do their gossips They worry about Oscar as she quitted her palace guard job and goes to a lower rank ....

9. In Versailles:
Fersen, together with Comte de Mercy, visits the Royal family / Fersen tells Louis XVI about his leaving. His father has chosen a wife for him in Sweden / Louix XVI wishes Fersen all the best Antoinette is left alone, she put all her love to the children.

10. Fersen is Leaving:
Andre wants to tell Oscar about Fersen's leaving, but is stopped by Fersen. Andre hints that Oscar in fact loves Fersen much / Fersen asks Andre to protect and love Oscar, etc. Fersen shows his resolution

11. Night time, in Oscar's Room:
Oscar says good night to her nanny / Oscar tells Andre how beautiful the starry night, she asks Andre if she is really in felicity. Andre comforts Oscar / Oscar asks if Andre likes her, if Andre loves her. She feels helpless and can't do anything in the chaotic time - even so, if Andre still loves him. Oscar asks Andre to take a love vow. Andre replies that for a thousand vows, for a million vows, he is willing to make. Oscar asks Andre to treat her as his wife. Andre replies that it's like his dream comes true., and it is the most beautiful thing to be born. They declare love to each other "Ai arewa bakoso" (If There Is Love)

12. In Paris:
The Royal army wants to fire off the common people / Oscar stops the army and declares to give up her title / She goes to the common people's side as she believes the army is for protecting the people, not the noble / Oscar wants to help the people to seek for liberty, equality and fraternity.

13.Attack the Bastille:
Bernard and Rosalie thank Oscar to help the common people / The royal army is coming. Andre is shot by bullets... / Before Andre dies, he open his eyes wide to see Oscar. Oscar then realizes Andre no longer can see. Andre recalls how Oscar lightens up his life "Kokoro no Hito Oscar" (My Heart, Oscar) / Andre dies in front of Oscar. / Oscar put her sorrows aside and decides to help the pople attack the Bastille / Oscar got shot.. She sees the fall of Bastille.. and she died after saying 'Glory to France'

14. In Sweden:
Fersen miss Antoinette / Gerodelle comes in / Fersen is anxious to know the situation of Oscar and the Queen. Gerodelle answers that Oscar id dead . He begs Fersen back to France to resue the Royal family / It's the Sweden King's birthday and Fersen decides to make use of the opportunity to escape from the Sweden watch. / Fersen farewells to his younger sister, Sophie.

15. In Sweden Palace, the King is celebrating his brithday:
Fersen greets the King and says he is going to perfrom fencing for the King. / Fersen says he is willing to bet his life to protect the Queen. "Ai no Omokage" (Traces of Love) The King finally is moved and agress Fersen to go.
