2009 TAKC Lunar New Year Event

Dear TAKC Members and Friends:

We are going to have a Party to celebrate Lunar New Year on Saturday, February 7, 2009. FAPA will give us a 30 minutes presentation. FAPA National President, UMKC Professor Bob Yang will talk about Taiwan Sovereignty and Human Rights issues, and FAPA Activities. NATWA organized a singing group and will enterntain us by performing several songs in the Party. The singing group has beeen practicing for several weeks. For other entertainment, everyone is encouraged to participate in singing along with siing group, and Karaoke singing and dancing. Also, Garmin donates a GPS for prize drawing in the Party. The time, place, cost and program are as follows:

Time: Saturday February 7, 2009, from 5:30 p.m to 10:30 p.m.

Place: Andy's Wok 6357 W. 119th Street Overland Park, Kansas

Dinner Cost: $20.00 (Adult member); $25.00 (Adult non-member); $10.00 (12 years and younger); Free (Kids under 4)

Membership fee for 2009: Family $20.00; Single $10.00

5:30 Registration: Check in, pay dinner fee and 2009 membership fee for 2009 Please make check payable to TAKC

6:00 - 7:30 Dinner

7:30 - 8:00 FAPA Presentation

8:00 - 10:30 Entertainment: Group Singing, Karaoke, Dancing
