Since debuting in 1990, The Undertaker has been an oppressive force and has destroyed everything in his path. A Decade Of Destruction is an understatement! At Survivor Series 1990, Undertaker made his debut. Ted Dibiase had a big surprise in store and had a mystery partner for his survival match. His mystery partner turned out to be The Undertaker. Taker made his way to the ring alongside his manager Brother Love.

Although Taker was eliminated by Count Out, he went for a whole year without being defeated. The following year at Survivor Series 1991, Undertaker was booked for a match against Hulk Hogan. A well-earned title match. Undertaker took full control of the match. He tombstoned Hogan but Hogan got straight up. A few minutes later, Paul Bearer interfered and distracted the ref whilst Taker tombstoned Hogan on a chair.

This was too much for Hulk and Taker won the match and the title. Unfortunately The Deadman lost the title at the following PPV Tuesday In Texas, just 6 days later. Undertaker then scored a win over Jimmy Snuka at Wrestlemania 7.

At Wrestlemania 8, he fought Jake Roberts. At this time Taker had just turned from a Monster Heel, to face. The Snake did two DDTs and not even that kept Taker down! Taker won the match via the tombstone.

Jake The Snake was not seen again for years. With Jake out of the way, Undertaker started a feud with Kamala. At Summerslam the two monsters met. Undertaker continued his amazing winning record by defeating Kamala. He won by DQ though which led into another match between the two at Survivor Series 92. This match was a first in WWF History though. A coffin match! Undertaker used the earn, knocking it across Kamalas skull. Taker got the three count and locked Kamala in the casket. Kamala wasn’t seen after that for another 9 years!

With yet another opponent of Undertakers gone from the federation, Undertaker started yet another feud this time with the 8-foot monster Giant Gonzales. In January 93, The Giant cost Undertaker the Royal Rumble. This led to Wrestlemania where the WWFs two biggest giants waged war at Ceasers Palace. Giant Gonzales cheated using an ether-covered rag knocking the Taker out. Undertaker was stretchered back but soon remerged and knocked out the 8-footer!

With the feud still red hot, Undertaker and Giant met in a Rest In Peace match at Summerslam with the loser never showing in the WWF again. Undertaker finally pinned Gonzales and he was never seen again! Undertaker now had his eyes set on the World Championship. The holder of the title was the 500lbs Yokozuna. At Royal Rumble 94, Undertaker fought Yokozuna in a Casket Match. With the help of about a dozen superstars, Yokozuna defeated the Deadman. As Yoko and the superstars were rolling The Casket backstage, the lights went out and Undertakers face appeared on the titantron! He promised Yokozuna he wouldn’t rest in peace and his spirit rose out of the casket! About 6 months later, Ted Dibiase said he had found The Undertaker, A few weeks later Dibiase bought The Undertaker to The Heartbreak Hotel! Paul Bearer said that Ted Dibiases Undertaker was a fake and he would bring the real Undertaker to Summerslam! When Summerslam came everyone found out that Dibiases Undertaker was a fake and was defeated at the hands of the real Taker with three tombstones!

Undertaker had rid yet another superstar from the WWF. He locked the Faker in a casket and he was never seen again. Undertaker then got his revenge on Yoko at the 1994 Survivor Series in a Casket Rematch. This time special enforcer Chuck Norris was hired to keep any "unwanted guests" away from the match. Taker locked Yokozuna in the casket and won the match. Unfortunately, Yokozunas spirit, like Undertakers, didn’t rise up from the casket...

Come 1995, Undertake had many enemies in the shape of The Million Dollar Corporation. Dibiases Corporation had stolen Takers urn. At Royal Rumble Undertaker defeated IRS and got his urn but was attacked after the match by King Kong Bundy and had the urn stolen for the second time! This led to Wrestlemania 11 where Bundy and Undertaker fought. Undertaker defeated Bundy and got his urn back again.

King of The Ring came and Undertakers first round opponent, was the 500lbs Mabel. Mabel got the upset victory via help from Corporation member Kama. (Goodfather) This set the feud off between Undertaker and Dibiases men to boiling point as Kama stole the urn! For the third time the urn had been taken! Even worse, Kama melted the urn into a necklace. With another Summerslam around the corner, Undertaker had to face Kama in a casket match. Undertaker kept his Summerslam winning streak up by burying the "Supreme Fighting Machine" in the casket.
With the feud finally over between Dibiase and Undertaker, Undertakers feud with Mabel sparked up again. On Raw, along with Yokozuna, Mabel crushed Undertakers face. Undertaker was out injured once again but was set to return at the Survivor Series. Survivor Series came, and Undertaker returned but with a mask covering his face. This didn’t slow him down though. The Phenom defeated Mabel, Triple H, Jerry Lawler, and Isaac Yankem (Kane) single handedly in a Survivor Series match! Taker didn’t get the revenge he wanted though on Mabel. Taker had eliminated all of Mabel’s team so Mabel fled from the ring and Taker and his team won by count out.

With 1995 gone Undertaker began 1996 wanting a WWF Title Shot. He got what he asked for and was booked for a match with The Champ Bret Hart at Royal Rumble 1996. At the closing stages of the match, Undertaker hit the tombstone piledriver. As he went for the cover though, Diesel came out of nowhere and pulled the ref out the ring. Undertaker had won by DQ but did not receive the title. Diesel now was demanding a chance to become Champ again. At February, Diesel got a match with Bret Hart and to make sure no one interfered, a steel cage stipulation was added. Not even a steel cage stopped Taker from getting revenge. He came from Undertaker the ring and pulled Diesel into the hole as Bret Hart escaped from the cage and retained the World Title. This led to Wrestlemania. Taker vs. Diesel. However before the event, Undertaker was playing Mind Games. On Monday Night War Diesel had just defeated his opponent, when a Casket was rolled down to the ring. Diesel opened it, only to find himself inside!!! Taker hadn’t finished there. In an interview with Diesel, the lights went out and when they turned back on, Taker was standing behind the 7-foot Diesel. The lights went out and Taker had disappeared again! They went off, they went on, and Taker was behind Diesel. As March came it was time for the two men to lock horns. Undertaker had never ever lost a Wrestlemania and by the way things looked, it didn’t look like he was about to lose this match either! Diesel hit two Jacknife Powebombs but Undertaker still sat up! Diesel realised nothing could keep Undertaker down and was defeated with a tombstone. Diesel, a former World Champ, a former IC and Tag Champ was never seen again in the WWF.

With Diesel gone, Undertaker had no opponents left to fight. No one was brave enough. No one wanted to end up like Giant Gonzales, or Kamala, or Diesel! Finally a new opponent stepped up to the challenge. A new wrestler who was more deranged than anyone ever seen before in the WWF. Mankind! Mankind was a psychopathic monster and defeated his opponent by sticking a claw into their throats. At In Your House "Beware Of Dog", Undertaker met Goldust in a Casket Match. At the closing stages, Undertaker opened the casket but Mankind came out and locked the Manible Claw on Taker! Mankind put Taker in the Casket and Goldust won the match! At the following event, Undertaker fought Goldust once more and won via disqualification after Mankind interfered yet again. Goldust and Undertaker met for the third successive PPV and Undertaker finally defeated the Golden one. As King Of The Ring came, Undertaker and Mankind met one on one. To everyone’s surprise, Mankind scored the victory. Paul Bearer "accidentally" smashed the urn over Undertakers head and Mankind locked on the Mandible Claw. Fans began to question whether it was a mistake by Paul Bearer. Come Summerslam, Mankind and Undertaker met in a Boiler Room Brawl. Whoever could escape the Boiler Room and retrieve the urn from Paul Bearer first, would win the match. Undertaker escaped the Boiler Room, as did Mankind. The two fought up the backstage corridor as wrestlers and fans watched on. The brawl broke out onto the ramp way. Both men got into the ring and tried to get the urn from Paul. Undertaker knocked Mankind out and went for the urn. Paul bearer did not give it to him though. Mankind got up and attacked Undertaker from behind as Paul Bearer laughed hysterically! Undertaker knocked Mankind back down and headed for the urn once more. This time, Paul Bearer struck the urn over Takers skull! Mankind went onto win the match and left with the sadistic Paul Bearer. Taker met Mankind in another rematch this time in "Buried Alive" rules. Undertaker defeated Mankind but after the match, Mankind, Paul Bearer and The Executioner together, buried Taker.

Come Survivor Series, Undertaker fought Mankind again but this time Paul Bearer was hung above the ring in a cage so he couldn’t interfere! Undertaker won the match and the cage lowered so Taker could get some sweet revenge on Paul. Executioner came to the save and Paul Bearer escaped. In December, Undertaker beat Executioner in an Armageddon Rules Match and Executioner wasn’t seen again.

With 1997 coming up, Undertaker was set for The Royal Rumble with a match with Paul Bearers newly recruited Vader and the Royal Rumble Match itself. When the day came, Undertaker suffered another defeat. Paul Bearer smashed the urn over Takers head and Vader capitalised with a Vader Bomb for the win. Later in the night Taker entered the Rumble at number 30. He dominated, eliminating a few superstars. Whilst Undertaker was working on Vader, Bret Hart eliminated Steve Austin but the refs were outside trying to split Terry Funk and Mankind up. Austin got back in and eliminated both Vader and Undertaker and then Bret. This led to February. HBK the champ had vacated his title leaving Steve Austin with no one to face. So seeing as Taker, Vader and Bret were eliminated unfairly, a match and PPV was made called "The Final Four". The Four men would participate in a Fourway match with no DQ and no Countout. The only way to win would be pinfall, submission, or eliminating your opponent over the top rope. Steve Austin was the first to be eliminated by Bret Hart and then Undertaker eliminated Vader. Unfortunately though, Austin came back to the ring and distracted Undertaker. Taker knocked Austin off the apron but when he turned around, Bret clotheslined him over the top rope and was crowned the new champ.

The next night on Raw, Bret lost the title to Psycho Sid. Undertaker was the number one contender and would face Sid at Wrestlemania for the title. At Raw though before Wrestlemania, a Steel Cage World Title Match was booked between Bret and Sid. If Bret won the match, his match with Austin would be for the title but if Sid won, the Wrestlemania main event would stay the same. Austin was helping Bret because he wanted his match with him to be a World Title Match and Undertaker was helping Sid for the same reasons. Sid came out on top and Taker was now guaranteed a title shot. When the night came, Undertaker was more ready than ever. He defeated Sid and finally won the World Title after five years for the second time.

Undertaker may have been champ but the following few months were terrible for him as Paul Bearer began black mailing him. Bearer said if Taker didn’t do what he told him to do, he would reveal Takers horrible secret. The following weeks, Paul Bearer accompanied Taker to the ring. After every match Taker had, he made him kick the hell out of the opponent. At King Of The Ring 97, Undertaker had a title match with Farooq. After he had won Bearer made him Chokeslam Farooq three times. Taker could not take the black mailing any more and Paul Bearer revealed to the world that Undertaker had murdered his family by burning the house down to the ground when he was a child. Paul Bearer then revealed to Undertaker that his brother who he had assumed had died in the fire was still alive! Taker was shocked. That didn’t stop him though. He went on to defeat Mankind, Steve Austin and Vader at the following PPVs. At Summerslam though he had to fight Bret Hart.

Shawn Michaels was the special guest referee. Near the end of the match after HBK had been knocked down, he found that Bret Hart had used a chair on Taker. HBK grabbed the chair and confronted Bret. Bret spat at Shawn and Shawn swung the chair at Bret. Bret ducked though and the chair hit Taker. Bret covered Undertaker and ended The Deadmans title reign.

Undertaker was now in a feud with Shawn. Taker fought Shawn at the September PPV Ground Zero. The match ended in a No Contest. Still feuding, Taker and HBK met at the October PPV Bad Blood in the first ever Hell In A Cell Match. Taker dominated. At the closing stages of the brutal match, Taker hit a chokeslam on HBK off the top rope. Undertaker then smashed a chair over Shawn’s head. He called for the Tombstone but the lights went out. Kane made his way to the ring to the shock of everyone!!!! He pulled the door off the cell and tombstoned Taker. HBK covered Taker and retained his title. The following weeks Kane interfered in match after match destroying superstar after superstar. Paul Bearer said the Destruction Path would continue until Taker would face Kane. Taker refused to face his own "Flesh And Blood". In January though, Kane saved Undertaker from DX and the two got down on their knees raising their hands to each other. Taker and Kane were reunited and Paul Bearer had disappeared! At Royal Rumble Undertaker got another match with Shawn. A casket match! This match had it all. Taker even did a jumping Tombstone off the apron into the casket.

Like the Casket Match with Yokozuna though, about a dozen superstars interfered. This time though Kane came to the ring and cleared the ring of everyone except Taker. Kane then hit Taker and turned on him before putting him in the casket! HBK had won yet another match with Undertaker. Paul Bearer returned and they locked the casket tight. Kane then took an axe to the casket before covering it in gasoline! Paul Bearer lit a match and handed it to Kane who threw it on the Casket!

Officials quickly put the fire out but when they opened the casket, Undertaker was nowhere to be found! Taker was not seen for another month. On Raw though in an interview with Kane and Bearer, Undertaker appeared laying down on a coffin at the top of the ramp. A huge bolt of lightening hit Taker and he sat up! He vowed that he would now face his brother. Kane then set the lamp alight but Undertaker walked straight through saying that he would walk through hell to face Kane. Undertaker then raised his hands and a huge bolt of lightening hit a casket near the ramp. It showed Kane burning inside on fire! Paul Bearer and Kane left the ring. The following weeks, Kane tried to scare Undertaker. He set people on fire and destroyed things, but none of this scared the Deadman.

The Date was set. March 28th 1998. Undertaker would meet his brother.

Kane dominated the whole match though. No one had ever seen Undertaker take so much of a beating. Undertaker went for a tombstone but Kane reversed it and tombstoned Taker. Undertaker kicked out. The match went on with Undertaker hitting a Tombstone of his own. Kane kicked out! Undertaker hit another Tombstone but Kane kicked out again.

Undertaker chokeslammed Kane and hit a third Tombstone and finally defeated his brother. This was the first of many battles for the two bros ahead. At Unforgiven in April Taker and Kane met this time in an Inferno Match. The only way to of won was to set your opponent on fire. Undertaker won the second match after setting Kane’s hand on fire. The following weeks, Undertaker wanted another title shot.

A match was booked between Taker and Kane with the winner meeting Steve Austin at King Of The Ring. Just as Taker was about to win, Mankind got on the apron-distracting Taker. Kane hit a tombstone and won the match. Kane would now face Steve Austin and Undertaker would face Mankind yet again. The Hell In A Cell stipulation was then added! Before King Of The Ring, Taker teamed up with Austin to take on Kane and Mankind in the Hell In A Cell. Undertaker did not appear though. People thought this was because he had formed an alliance with Kane. Whilst Austin was fighting off Kane and Mankind on the outside, Undertaker came from under the ring and destroyed Paul Bearer who had locked himself in the cell! The match ended in no contest, which brought us to King Of The Ring. Undertaker met Mankind in the most brutal and in a lot of people’s minds, best match in WWF History. The match began on the top of the cell. Undertaker quickly threw Foley off, sending him 18 feet to the ground! As the doctors were stretchering Mankind off, he got up and headed back towards the cell! Once again Mankind and Taker were fighting on top of the cell! Undertaker chokeslammed Foley and the cell broke! Foley crashed down to the ring canvas with the steel chair landing on his face! The chair busted Foleys face and made his tooth go through his upper lip! Foley was knocked out! (For real) As people got in the ring to help Mankind, Undertaker got into the ring and cleaned house. The match continued. Undertaker went for a flying clothesline through the ropes but Mankind moved and Takers head bounced off the steel gratings in the cage. Mankind took The Deadman back into the ring where he hit a dangerous Piledriver onto the chair busting Takers head wide open. Mankind went to the outside and took a bag from under the ring. Inside were... THUMBTACS! Mankind sprinkled the tacs all over the ring. He got Undertaker up and ran at him but Undertaker capitalised and hit a big boot. Mankind got up though and locked on the Mandible Claw! Undertake got down one knee and looked to be out. Unfortunately for Mankind, Undertaker quickly got up and dropped Mankind down onto the tacs! Mankind got up but was chokeslammed back down onto the tacs!!! Undertaker then tombstoned Mankind and ended the hellacious match! Mankind left the ring with tacs sticking out of his body.

Following King Of The Ring, Undertaker teamed up with Steve Austin to take on Mankind and Kane at Fully Loaded. The question still on everyone’s minds was if Taker and Kane were now a team. Previously at King Of The Ring, Taker had caused Austin the match and Kane was crowned the new Champ. At Fully Loaded though Taker was the one who pinned Kane and won the Tag Titles for himself and Steve Austin. The reign didn’t last though as they were defeated by Mankind and Kane. Soon after, Mankind and Kane split and at Summerslam, Mankind had to defend both his titles against the New Age Outlaws. He lost. In the main event though, Taker was booked to face Austin for the title. A brilliant match then led to a terrible ending as Undertaker lost.

Still with his sights set on Austin and the title, Vince McMahon booked a Triple Threat Match between Austin, Kane and Taker. In reality though, this was a Handicap Match because Kane and Taker were now a team. At Break Down (The PPV where the match was held) the match ended in controversial style as Kane and Taker delivered a Double Chokeslam and both pinned Austin for the three. The next night on Raw, an announcement was made that at Judgment Day, Undertaker would go one on one with Kane for the Championship and the referee would be none other than The Rattlesnake Steve Austin. The match ended in a no-contest though after Steve Austin counted both Taker and Kane out and awarded the match to himself. Before all this though, Paul Bearer had returned and rejoined with Taker!

With no options left, Vince McMahon made a Title Tournament, consisting of 13 Superstars. Al Snow, Mankind, Dwayne Gill, Steven Regal, Steve Austin, Mankind, Kane, Undertaker, Big Bossman, Goldust, Ken Shamrock, X Pac and Jeff Jarrett were the participants given the chance to be crowned the new champion. Undertaker had a bye to the second round where he would face…Kane! Undertaker made short work of Kane with a little help from Paul Bearer. Taker was now in the final four and had The Rock to face next. Kane interfered though and Rock won via DQ.

With 1998 nearing to a close, Undertakers feud with Austin sparked back up. Vince told both men they would face each other at Rock Bottom in a Buried Alive Match and the winner would go onto participate in the 30 man over the top Royal Rumble. After another amazing match, Undertaker looked as if he was about to bury Austin. Kane then came out of the grave and helped Austin by Tombstoning Taker into it! Austin then got a digger and buried Undertaker alive! 1998 had ended in which was an on and off year for The Deadman!

Come 99, Undertaker changed his look and character. He was more Satanic and evil than ever. He began forming a stable known as The Ministry Of Darkness. The first three recruits were Mideon and Acolytes. AT Royal Rumble 99, Mabel returned under the name of Viscera but was kidnapped by The Ministry and became a member! Gangrel, Edge and Christian then joined. With the Ministry behind him, Undertaker went after Vince McMahon and Steve Austin.

Vince threw everything in Takers way. He booked another Inferno Match with Kane on Raw but Undertaker won again. Vince made Mankind face Undertaker but no one could keep him down! At Wrestlemania 15, Vince put Big Bossman in a Hell In A Cell Match. Undertaker destroyed the Bossman before hanging him!!!

McMahon had nothing left to throw at Taker except Ken Shamrock. Ken met Taker at Backlash but was left knocked Unconscious at the end of the match. Taker had won yet another match. On the same night, Undertaker kidnapped Stephanie McMahon and later on in the month attempted an unholy wedding. Steve Austin came to the save though. On the upcoming Smackdown, Undertakers Ministry joined Shane McMahons Corporation to form the most devastating stable ever seen. As the month went on, Undertaker revealed who The Greater Power was whom he had been talking about for some time. It was... Vince McMahon. Vince was even the mastermind behind Stephanie’s abduction! Undertaker was now in another feud with Austin. This time though, Taker was more deadly than ever. They were to meet at The May PPV, Over The Edge and the weeks leading up to the event were hell for Austin. Undertaker even crucified Austin on his symbol!

Come Over The Edge, Shane McMahon was made the ref for the main event. The match ended with Undertaker coming out on top and winning the title.

Undertaker’s next challenger was The Rock. Rock and Taker met at King Of The Ring but Undertaker destroyed the Rock and won the match after tombstoning him. The next day on raw though, Undertaker lost the title to Steve Austin. The two met again at Fully Loaded in a First Blood Match. If Undertaker lost, Vince McMahon would have to leave the WWF for good. Before the match, Undertaker busted Austin wide open but Austin then got his revenge later on in the night by busting Taker open. Later on near the end of the match, Undertaker was calling for the end when X Pac interfered and kicked a TV Camera in Takers face. Austin then hit Taker with the camera and busted him open. Undertaker had suffered another defeat from Austin.

In the following weeks to come, Undertaker joined The Big Show. They quickly defeated X Pac and Kane for the Tag Titles at Summerslam 99.

They quickly lost the titles though to Rock and Mankind. The two teams met yet again in a Buried Alive Match where Taker and Show got their tag titles back. Two weeks on, the two teams met for the third time. Undertaker decided to take matters into his own hands and made the match a Dark Side Rules Match. Basically, Undertaker made Viscera and Mideon take his place in the match and team with Big Show. Rock capitalised on the stipulation and pinned Mideon after The Peoples Elbow.

Takers next PPV Match was a 6-pack challenge between Taker, Big Show, HHH, The Rock, Mankind and Kane for the World Title. On Smackdown though Undertaker refused to face HHH in a Casket Match and was taken out of the 6 Pack Challenge Match. Undertaker told Vince that he quit...
