Satan's knocking at the door
During this damn bloody war
People dropping just like flys
All you hear are desperate cries
On the table in a make-shift O.R.
The doctor says "He'll live no more"
People dying in this plague
All for a name on someone's flag
I believe this can be done
This hellish battle can be won
If each of us can learn to care
War can't happen anywhere
A battle cry of yesterday
But not tomorrow, Let Us Pray
Send our kids to war no more
Violence we must abhor
Teach our children love and grace
Understanding EVERY race
The earth is big enough to share
Let us pray that we might care
Stop the slaughter, flow of blood
Love the world with brotherhood
Lend your brother a helping hand
Do not covet his goods or land
I pray this battle must be won
Or soon for all the end may come
If we don't learn right now to care
To end all wars and learn to share
We must put weapons all asunder
Loud sounds only of the thunder
No more screams from battlefields
No more kids for war to steal
No more caskets on the train
Mothers crying out in pain
No more bodies under fire
No more legal guns for hire
I believe this can be done
I believe that peace must overcome
I know we're able to love and share
So let us end war everywhere......
God, you have given us the power and knowledge to make war
Now, please give us the courage and wisdom to end it......
