LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - MTV reality star Jack Osbourne will make his feature acting debut in the Olsen Twins' comedy vehicle "New York Minute," which is currently shooting in Toronto.

He will play the young manager of a band featuring Mary-Kate Olsen's character, a 17-year-old punk-rock rebel named Roxy. Ashley Olsen will play her twin sister, Jane, an overachiever looking to qualify for a prestigious college scholarship.

In the tradition of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," the Warner Bro.'s feature follows a day in the lives of the duo, who find themselves caught in various mix-ups. Dennie Gordon ("What A Girl Wants") is directing.

"Jack's outrageous,"  Mary-Kate Olsen said. "Perfect for the role."

The ensemble cast also includes Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Darrell Hammond, Andy Richter, and "Loveline" co-host Dr. Drew  Pinsky, also making his feature debut as the girls' father.
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Comedian Andrea Martin, "Saturday Night Live" star Darrell Hammond, and "Loveline's" Dr. Drew Pinsky have been added to the cast of the Olsen twins' comedy vehicle "New York Minute."

In his feature film debut, Pinsky will play the twins' father. Additionally, Mary Bond Davis of Broadway's "Hairspray" and punk-pop band Simple Plan will star in the Warner Bro.'s film, which Dennie Gordon ("What a Girl Wants") is shooting in New York and Toronto.

In the tradition of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," the feature follows one monumental day in the lives of 17-year old sisters, Jane and Roxy Ryan, adversaries who begrudgingly journey together from their Long Island home to New York, where meticulously prepared overachiver Jane (Ashley Olsen) is due to deliver a speech to qualify for a prestigious college scholarship abroad. Meanwhile, laid-back punk rock rebel Roxy (Mary-Kate Olsen) hopes to get backstage at an underground music video shoot for Simple Plan so that she can slip her demo tape to the group.

However, Roxy and Jane's plans go awry when a mix-up involving Jane's day planner lands them in the middle of a shady black-market transaction. Persued by an overzealous truant officer (Eugene Levy) and accused of kidnapping a dog belonging to a senator (Martin), the Ryans must find a way to work together to thwart the forces threatening to jeapordize Jane's college dreams and ship Roxy off to a convent school.

Hammond plays a business executive who has comedic encounters with Roxy and Jane on their way to the city. Davis plays a beautician who helps Jane. Andy Richter, Jared Padalecki, and Riley Smith round out the cast.
