Jennie Luster's Daughter Georgia Franklin

Jennie Luster had two daughters Georgia Franklin and Sister Sister(name unknown). Georgia Franklin was the mother of two children Gertrude Franklin-Martin and Josephine Turner-Rayford.  Below are the children and grandchildren of Gertude Franklin Martin.Georgia Franklin's husband sister name was Mary Walton Born 1886-1968, Her Husbands Brother name was Mr. Fields his Children Earnest Fields Born 1908-1988, Elec Fields, From Mississippi. Georgia Franklin's husband Manuel Crawford.

Gertude Franklin-Martin: 1902-2005 Gertude was brought to Chicago, Illinois by her cousin Alphonzie Hale along with his sisters. She lived with them until she was married and got her own apartment. She had one daughter Bertha Peterson-White-Reid. Bertha Perterson-White-Reid 89yrs has Alzheimer's but still has good memory and knows us all.

Bertha Peterson-White-Reid:1919- Daughter of Gertude Franklin-Martin was born 1919 in Arkansas. She lived in Arkansas until she was 14yr old. She was taken away from her family by a man who claimed she was his wife. Her mother Gertude went back down to Arkansas and stole her back to Chicago in 1935. Bertha went to Forestville High School But never completed because she was not allowed to attend school in the south and could not read. She meet and married John White a City Of Chicago Street Cleaner. The marriage lasted a short time and she returned home to her mother They had  two daughters Jean and Rosa. She got a job at various places living with her mother Gertude and her Three children Jean White-Johnson, Rosa White-Thomas-Johnson, and Jerome Peterson. She lived with and supported both her mother and children until they were grown. She later meet her life long husband Fred O Reid whom she remained with until his death in 1975. Sisters of  Bertha Peterson-white-Reids Father Rosie Peterson Butler, Lula Peterson Flowers, Francis Peterson Johnson, Geneva Peterson Johnson, Vanella Peterson Mitchell, Emma Peterson Gibson, Three half brothers, Luke Peterson, Eligha Peterson, Ralph Peterson. John White Born Aug 12, 1907 (said he was born 1892) in Mississippi. Father Ben, White Mother Ida White, Brother James White. Cousins Willie Morgan, Minnie Morgan, Suzie Morgan. Children Rose Mary White-Thomas-Johnson, Jean White-Johnson, Lost sister to Family Laura lost son jean Mother Geneva.


Rosa Mary Johnson: Daughter of Bertha-Perterson-White-Reid and John White. Rose was born in Chicago, Illinois Cook County Hospital in 1937. Rose married at the age of sixteen to Talman D Thomas JR. (Professional Gospel Singer and Guitar's Group Salem Travelers). and had eight children Janice Thomas-Hayes-Luke, Talman D Thomas 3rd, Bertha Thomas, Fred J Thomas, Ronald Thomas, Lynett Thomas, other children not by Talman Thomas JR. Johnny R Thomas, Kwana Thomas, Rose married her last husband Elder John Johnson who died after over twenty years of marriage. Two sons were born Eligha Johnson, (twin boys Died) Eliza Johnson.

Janice Thomas-Hayes-Luke: Born 1954 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Talman D Thomas JR. In Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital. Married at seventeen to Charles Earl Hayes Sr killed after one seven months of marriage in a attempted robbery. Charles and Janice had one son Charles Earl Hayes JR and on grandson Kintrey. Janice remarried to Walter luke eight years later but it only lasted one year. Janice has remained single and worked in Accounting, Hospital Records, and currently hair stylus's.

Talman Thomas 3rd: Born 1955 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Talman D Thomas JR. In Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital. Talman has never been married but has one daughter by Phyllis D Brown. Daughter Latoya Shannon Brown. Latoya has three Daughters Tiara,Dalya Miller and natoria Williams. Talman served in the Marines From 1974-1976 honorably discharged. Going back to school in 1976-1980 and receiving a AAS in Auto Tech. Worked both auto and security Four years until being hired by The Chicago Public Library for the last 17yrs.

Bertha Thomas: Born 1957 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Talman D Thomas JR. In Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital. Bertha was never married but had to children son James Franklin Evan's 3rd and Shinetia Thomas. Bertha moved to Chicago Ht, after leaving home and lived 17yr. She moved back to Chicago in 1999 and began working for the Chicago Public Library.five grandkids Elijah,Genisis, Christine, James Jr., and Iyana

Fred Thomas: born 1959 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Talman D Thomas JR. In Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital. Fred married Tracy Holland and had three daughters Erica Holland born 1975, Rosemary  Holland born 1977, Jennifer Holland born 1988. Children by Freds Second Wife Lisa Tutson-Thomas Tamika Housley born 1983, Tiffany Thomas born 1987, Tiara Thomas born 1991.Fred served in the army reserve for six years.Grand grandchildren Vankeshia Price, Asley Doyle, Jamal Smith.

Ronald Thomas: Born 1961-1990 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Talman D Thomas JR. In Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital. Ronald never married but had Five children with Jacquelin Marie Gathings. Bonita Gathings, Ronald Thomas JR., Lakisha Thomas, Dartanyum Thomas, Darenius Thomas. Ronald was a very kind and loving father

Lynette Thomas: born 1965 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Talman D Thomas JR. In Chicago, Illinois. Lynette and her daughter Abgail Thomas lives with Rose Mary White-Thomas-Johnson.

Johnny Thomas: born 1969-1999 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Robert Oliver In Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital. Johnny was never married  but had one daughter Paris Stephen.

Kawana Thomas: born1971 to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and Ray Zebbie. Kawana never married but had two childern by Earnest Sanders. Kandice Sanders, Deion Sanders an one grandson demarien cogar.Sister Veronica Joyce.kwana and veronica's father is Zebbie Ray.

Eligha and Eliza:1974-1974 Twin boys to Rose White-Thomas-Johnson and John Johnson. both babies died in a fire at two months old.


Jean White Johnson: Daughter:1938- of Bertha-Perterson-White-Reid and John White. Jean was born in Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital in 1938. Jean married Lowell Bernard Johnson and had five sons Lowell Johnson, Thomas Allen Johnson, Robert Johnson, Donald Johnson (twin) Ronald Johnson, . Her oldest son Larry White was father by Lawrence Robinson. They remained married until the boys were almost grown.

Larry White:1957- Born to Jean White-Johnson and Lawrence Robinson. Larry has Possibly two unknown children.

Lowell Johnson: 1956- Born to Jean White-Johnson and Lowell Bernard Johnson. Good person lived with mother Jean (Mentally Handicap).

Thomas Allen Johnson:1959-2008 Born to  Jean White-Johnson and Lowell Bernard Johnson. Thomas has two sons and one daughter Marcell Johnson, Thomas Allen Johnson Jr., Erica Dennice Johnson. Thomas married Denise.

Robert Johnson: Born to Jean White-Johnson and Lowell Bernard Johnson. Robert has three children Ray Deela, Nathiel Allen, Sonja Herris. Robert has been married two times Virginia and Tonya.

Donald Johnson:1963- Born to Jean White-Johnson and Lowell Bernard Johnson. Donald has six children. Terra Johnson, Donald Johnson Jr., Willie Johnson (twin to Ronald).

Ronald Johnson:1963- Born to Jean White-Johnson and Lowell Bernard Johnson. Ronald has six children. Rochelle Johnson, Ronald Johnson Jr., Ronny Johnson, Ronnelle Johnson, Ronita Johnson, Rodderick Johnson. Ronald lives in California for the past 11yrs (twin to Donald).


Jerome Peterson:1936- son of Bertha-Perterson-White-Reid and Harry Robinson. Jerome was born in Chicago, Illinois Cook Country Hospital in 1936 he died feb 2008. Jerome had four daughters Shelia Vinson, Bernice Vinson (mother Mary Joyce Vinson) Leah Garnet-Tate and Kezia Garnet-Nelson (mother Mary Garnet)and one son David Garnet(Mother Mary Garnet). Jerome retired form the railroad and still living in Chicago. Jerome children are unknown except for Leah Garnet and her sister Kezia who we are very close to. Leah Garnet-Tate: Born 1962 Chicago, Illinois to Mary Garnet and Jerome Peterson. Leah is married to Lewis Tate. Leah and Lewis live in Southen Illinois doing well.

Kezia Garnet-Nelson: Born 1965-2003 in Chicago, Illinois. Kezia is Married to Mr Nelson. They live in Southern Illinois doing well.
