The Talmo Fence

In March of 2004, I began working at my current place of employment, The Home Depot.  I work at the Home Depot in Buckhead, Georgia for now.  When I move back to Gainesville, Georgia in January 2005, I hope to transfer to the Home Depot there.  The Home Depot has been my first retail job and it has been an eye-opening experience to say the least.  I plan to work for The Home Depot until I finish my BA at Georgia State.  If it's "in the cards", I wouldn't mind working at the company's corporate headquarters after graduation.  I have tried several times to seek employment and internships at corporate, but nothing has happened as of yet.  I'll make sure to keep you posted on any developments.  And, if you are reading this and you know some people within the company, I wouldn't be opposed to you passing along my contact information/resume.

Before working at the Home Depot, I worked for a company called ZUA Autoparts, Incorporated in Gainesville, Georgia.  ZUA is an automotive supplier of power steering systems to several different customers including Nissan, Ford, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, BMW, NASCAR, and several others.  I started working at ZUA October of 1998 when I was a senior in High School.  When I graduated from High School, the people of ZUA just couldn't let go, so I stayed for the next five years until I left in March of 2004 to work at The Home Depot.

Before I worked at ZUA, I worked as a "bag boy" for the Publix in Oakwood. I was there from February 1999-August 1999, at which time I started working at ZUA. Before Publix, the only other job I had was as a summer job at a sandwich counter in an old pharmacy in downtown Gainesville (Lawrence Pharmacy).

Each job has been an educational experience and I suppose the one thing I've always liked about all the jobs I've had is that I've been able to work closely with other people to solve problems.  For more detailed information about my job skills and the places I have worked, please look over my resume.
