Review of the Week - Gold Mountain, SF Chinatown
Parking
Gold Score: 2/5 bars of gold
Tip Score: 2% of the bill
There are 2 lots nearby, the North Beach Garage and the Vallejo Street garage, both on Vallejo on opposite sides of the street, both on the expensive side.
First of all, don't ever go to a dim sum restaurant past 2 pm, the "rush hour" of dim sum.  Chinese restaurants are notorious for poor service, especially if the customer can in any way be blamed, i.e. showing up past the "normal" time.  This place is no exception.  However, the rule is usually the ruder the service, the better the food.  Here, the food did not make up for the rushed and pushy service.  The spare ribs swam in oil, the shu mai was also oily, and the beef in the beef wrap was extremely tough.  Overall, not worth the price of parking.
