I am a 26 year old female, that lives in Maine. I have one daughter,, Trinitee Michaela, who was born on 03/21/01. And one son, Gavin Malcolm, that was born on 01/23/05. They are my life, my very reason for breathing. It is my job to protect, and teach them honesty, tolerance,and when to know when to speak up and ask for help.
I am a "survivor" as you may have already figured out. In the whole process of healing, which has been a LONG process, I have tried many different approaches. YOU are the one that truly knows what YOU need to heal/ Look deep within yourself, and don't get caught up in the many psychiatric labels. Yes, you may live with PTSD, but you are not PTSD. You are (insert name here), and you are a Beautiful, Loveable person!
I am still healing..this is a daily process. But, I know as a survivor that as part of my healing, I need to share my experience, strength,&hope. it gets better! It really does! This year on June 19,2005 it marked the 9th year anniversary of the night I was raped for the first time. This year,though, marks a new anniversary. He died on October 19,2004 unexpectedly. I was able to make peace with his soul, finally. No more fear of running into him. But, this was a very intense anniversary. I got through it! Through the help of friends, and spiritual guidance.
