Welcome to my homepage. I am glad that you made it this far! I hope that you will stay around long enough to know a little bit more about me and my profession.

Background

I was born in Cairo, Egypt, but my family soon moved to a small town in the delta of the Nile. I grew up there, and later joined a regional university nearby where I had my B.A. in English Literature and Linguistics. When I finished my studies, I moved back to Cairo where I started my professional career in the field of computer localization in early 90s. I worked full time and as a freelancer for market leading localization companies locally and internationally. Now I am a professional English/Arabic technical translator, reviewer and language consultant.

Experience

My profession in localization field (translating and adapting software, hardware, and electronic devices to the local market), translation, and technical writing gained me a lot of experience as a language consultant developing style guides and defining translation and localization quality-related guidelines. Now, I have sectoral and technological expertise. I always provide fast, reliable, high-quality translation. My translation goal is to produce technically accurate and culturally appropriate translations.
