The Museum, throught the efforts
of aquisitions manager Terry Ward, has recently received another
aircraft.
A Hunting-Percival Sea Prince. Built in 1951 the Sea Prince is
powered by two radial Alvis-Leonides engines and can carry cargo
or 14 passengers with a crew of 2. and was operated primarily by
the Royal Navy. The aircraft arrived on the afternoon of November
13, piloted by museum member Alan Dares.
It is belived that there are very few examples of a Sea Prince in
flyable condition.
The director and members of our club are
attempting to maintain the Sea Prince in flying condition.
The airshow season is rapidly approaching and we rely on your
support to achieve this goal.
The Sea Prince Support Club membership fee is $20 a year and $5 a month.
This is an opportunity to get involved with one
of the two Sea Prince's flying in the world.
You will be able to assist with maintenance, promotions, and
airshows.
MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!!!!
