8th Annual Sizzlin Country

On Tuesday May 21st, Tammy was a part of the 8th Annual Sizzlin Country event to benift CF. Tammy took the stage to sing her hit single "Angels In Waiting" and a song of her up-comeing album, "Life Happened"

Following Tammy's preformance she was honored by CFF for her work and dedication to supporting CFF with a special "Angel Guitar" dedicated to her brother's Shawn and Allan.

On Monday May 20th, Tammy was apart of the 2nd Annual Sizzlin Country Bartending event, held at BJ's Resturant and Brewery held in Burbank California.

Tammy Made A Difference

Tammy is featured in the "Women Who Make a Difference" article in the April 23 issue of Family Circle magazine (circulation 5+ million) which hits newsstands today. In the two page story, Tammy and her parents speak of the trials of dealing with Cystic Fibrosis, the struggles she went through in landing a record deal and Tammy's tribute song - Angels In Waiting - to her two brothers who died of the disease. In recognition of Tammy's outstanding achievements, Pond's (who sponsors the feature) is donating $1000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Tammy's honor. Family Circle calls Tammy "one of the most promising new talents on the country music scene."

Tammy , on her way to a performance in St. Louis, had just stepped off the tour bus at Truckstops of America in Illinois when she was notified via phone of her nominations in three (3) from the "37th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards." She is the most nominated new artist AND most nominated female artist.

Tammy is nominated for Top New Female Vocalist. Also "Angels in Waiting," her critically acclaimed song, written as a tribute to Shawn and Alan, her brothers who both passed away due to Cystic Fibrosis, was nominated for Video of the Year and Song of the Year.

The song and video nominations are doubly sweet for Cochran because she co-wrote "Angels In Waiting" and co-directed her video for the song. Additionally, she is the only female artist who was nominated in these categories. Overall she is the most nominated female artist as well as the most nominated new artist.

"The Top Song and Top Video nominations mean the most to me," Cochran shares. "This will now help immortalize Alan and Shawn and I’m so grateful they will live on forever through the song and video. I also want to thank everyone who worked so hard with me…they are a big part of this recognition."
