This is a great anime and one of the first I watched. The story revolves around
Major Kusanagi and her duty to catch the puppet master. The puppet master is
believed to be a hacker that controls people to get things accomplished. This
anime includes action, violence and displays a very futuristic theme. In the movie
people have become very dependent on machines to the point that most people
have some type of cybernetic enhancements. The Major has had so much work
done to her body that she is barely human. She refers to her mind as her ghost
and is very interested in learning about the puppet master. This anime has great
sci-fi tones and nicely drawn art. Ghost in the shell is drawn by Masamune
Shirow. To Date there is a movie, TV Series and Manga Comic Book series for
