| For this project, I used a 4-ply, 100% cotton varigated yarn with crochet hook size "E". | |
| Chain (ch) 8 and join into a ring with a slip stitch (sl st) into the first ch. | |
| Round 1: | Ch3, then 15 double crochet (dc) into ring. Join with a sl st into 3rd of first ch3. |
| Round 2: | Ch5. (1dc into next dc, ch2) 15 times. Join with a sl st into 3rd of first ch5. |
| Round 3: | Sl st into first ch2 space (sp), ch3, 2dc in same space, ch1. *3dc into next space (sp), ch1. Repeat from * to the end. Join with a sl st into 3rd of first ch3. |
| Round 4: | Sl st into first ch sp. *(Ch3, sc1 into next sp) 3 times. Ch6, sc1 into next sp. Repeat from * 3 more times, leaving out last sc, and join with a sl st to the sl st at beginning of this round. |
| Round 5: | Sl st into first ch3 sp; ch3, 2dc into same sp, 3dc into each of the next 2 ch3 spaces. *(5dc, 2ch, 5dc) into 6ch sp, 3dc into each of the next 3 3ch spaces. Repeat from * two more times. (5dc, 2dc, 5dc) into ch6 sp. Join with a sl st into 3rd of first ch3. |
| Round 6: | Ch3, 1dc into each dc to the corner. *(1dc, 1 treble (tr), 1dc) into ch2 sp, 1dc into each dc to the next corner. Repeat from * two more times. (1dc, 1tr, 1dc) into ch2 sp. 1dc into each dc to the end. Join with a sl st into 3rd of first ch3. |
