There
are 5 members in Backstreet Boys. They are A.J., Brian, Howie-D, Kevin
and Nick. And do you know how do they get their name? There is a place
called Backstreet Market in Orlando, which was a local hang out for teenagers.
They took the name Backstreet and they are boys, so they get the name
Backstreet Boys.
Also,
how did they meet each other to form group? BSB's incredible saga began
at 1992 in Orlando, Florida. It was there that high school students Howie
Dorough, A.J.Mclean and junior high school student Nick Carter began to
run into each other at acting auditions. They started talking, and soon
found out that another common interest was singing. The guys decided to
form a little singing group, inspired in part by Boyz
II Men and Color Me Badd. The trio then decided to expand, by two. They
met a mutual friend who knew Kevin Richardson. Kevin quit his job at Disney
World quick. After scouring Orlando for a 5th member, Kevin thought of
his cousin Brian Littrell, who was in Kentucky. A phone call made, and
recruited his cousin Brian to be the fifth, and final member of the Backstreet
Boys.
