FAT (IMA)...

Arkansas-born and Los Angeles raised, Fatima started out nine years ago winning dance contests and getting spotted by artists and directors. Little did she know that in the very near future she would be helping to shape the images of the very artists she loved dancing to. Back then it wasn't a money thing. "When hip hop first started out dancers didn't understand. We would do jobs for fifty dollars and be like 'Whatever', because it was something that we just loved to do. But y'know, after a while it was like 'OK, bills to pay' and then y'know, hip hop just started taking over the airwaves."
Her first big Job - that's after working with the likes of Keith Sweat and Guy - was Michael Jackson's 'Remember the Time'. Was she nervous? No sweat. "I Just had to kind of get to the table."

"People say when I'm sleeping I'm just jerking and jerking." If not when she's out clubbing ("clubs are my classroom"), much of Fatima's movement creativity flows when she's asleep.
