For those that don't know the history of Dundee United and the Scottish Cup, let me explain:
From the first appearance at Hampden Park in 1974 to winning the Scottish Cup in 1994, Dundee United appeared at Hampden no less than 8 occassions (including the 1981 replay against Rangers) in the Scottish Cup Final, finally winning the Scottish Cup on the 21st May 1994.
