Here is the original text: "The Figures below represent the different arrangements in which the five square blocks (cut in the manner shown above) must be placed, in order to obtain the prizes offered. In each arrangement, as numbered, every piece is used, and the figures are solid. Every figure can be made as distinctly drawn, so that it can be seen at a glance whether the solution is correct or not.
"After solving ALL THE NUMBERS, send in the answers. As soon as received they will be recorded, the first correct solutions receiving the capital prize of twenty pounds, the second, ten pounds, the third, five pounds, the fourth, two pounds/10 shillings, the fifth 12 shillings, and the following ten prizes of four shillings each.
