Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare born 1989 While I technically have no favourites, HG would be the one.  She has personality, patience, and is unpretentious.  If there is something she doesn't want to do, she will tell you all about it! She was purchased at auction, and what caught my attention about her was that she was very tall, and very imposing.  She was (and still is) one impressive piece of horse flesh. Unfortunately the foal she was carrying to Star Marauder died in birth on Saturday 8  November, 2003.. and that is soooo sad.  I am going to give her the rest of this season off, before returning to stud (and Star Marauder) early next season. HG had herself a big bay filly with only a little bit of white around the coronet of her back off-side leg.

Something about HG just says 'look at me'. She has a great personality, and is particularly fond of using my shoulder as a scratching post, or just a leaning post as she whispers warm sweet nothings in my ear (which is really good in the colder months!)

A truly exhausted horse.  She was so tired  after foaling that when the vet left, she just lay down for hours recuperating.

Only days away from foaling (4)... any food gratefully accepted if it is more yummy then boring old grass
