Tammuriata Napoletana: FLYER

Announcing Workshop:
IL BALLO SUL TAMBURO

An ancient Ritual Dance from the countrysides of Southern Italy from the Greek-Roman times. The rhites in honor of Demetra (aka Ceres for the Romans), Goddess of Fertility and Harvest, in a fascinating Mediterranean dance.
Danced all night, upon the involving wrapping sound of the tamburello (little drum), the monotonous repeating hypnotic melody of the singer, the neverstopping beat of the castagnettes of the dancers.

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen. No previous dance experience required.
