| Fleassy: OK, so if the Tankus boys are the soul, heart and body of Tankus the Henge then i surely am the bra. I offer constant support day in day out, help to hold things together...and give a great cleavage. As official Groupie, and PA of the band I'm am here to present you with a weekly (or as often as anything happens) journal of the boys doings (and don'tings). So sit back, relax, take off your shoes and let me take you behind the scenes of insanity. Remember it takes one to know one. |
| Tuesday 7th october *DING DING* special delivery! Hi it's Fleassy again for a speedy up-to-date on whats been going on in the Tankus world! WELL! Monday was spent rehearsing and rehearsing and i must admit there were times when even I began to feel the nerves for the evening performance.Then later that day, off they set with a trumpety trump... well actually no trumpets but many other assorted instruments, to the Cartoon club in Croydon. I followed suite a few hours later to find them lolling about like cool, professional musicians.... hmmm actually half of them were missing down the pub and the other half were munching on take away! ROCK AND ROLL BABY! The sound check sounded amazing and the performance even better, every little silver bangled hand in the place was up and waving along to the tunes and along the front row was there little collection of girls who adore them so. The boys bashed the hardest out of there instruments and i must say i was proud to be there! Unfortunately their efforts were not welcomed when it came to voting as well as we had hoped. Eight votes off the boys missed getting into the final by a hairs breadth! In other news the boys have been lulling around the recording studio quite a bit lately, time for me to get my prying gloves out and dig out whats being planned eh?! |

| Sunday 5th october: This is the first entry into the Tankus journal and we join the boys at a very intense time. On one hand they are battling it out in Brit Idol (Moday 6th october, the Cartoon club, Croydon) and on the other hand they have been trying to get there first EP sorted out. With discussions of what songs should be added to it and what the front cover should depict the boys first EP, titled "Howling tree", looks to be an exciting disk full of madness, insanity and pure progressive genius (...No bias here). The tasks filling the boys heads for the up and coming week are as follows: -Perform there socks off at Brit Idol on Monday -Be voted into the finals of Brit Idol - Last but certainly not least, get Chris to look at a camera long enough to get the cover shot taken. Well heres wishing you good luck boys! i think you'll need it mostly on that last task though! |

| Tuesday 14th october Well what a busy body week these boys have had. After missing out on Brit Idol finals by a mere 8 points the boys came bouncing back again. Tonight is the first of two performances at Brit this week with the song Tohlkas Tmie. The boys were preparing in true Tankus style by not rehearsing until about a day before dress rehearsal and on this day i recieved a message "In the tankus camp, arguments, stress, tension, agh! where are you?" It seems Rock Stardom is taking its toll on the boys nerves but i'm sure after a bit of incence and some meditation (or a pint or four for Dan) the boys will pull off an amazing performance. Break a toe boys and have a great one! |
