~ The Collection Corner ~ |
The best part about a pony meet, besides the cake & ice cream and getting to hang out with other really cool pony people, has to be drooling over other people's collections. Hands down, there is no better way to spend an afternoon then being surrounded by ponies. And there were definately A LOT of ponies at the Festival - as it should be! Here's a cruise through a few of the collections that were there. Enjoy!

One of the most impressive collections to grace us that day was Christine, The Baddoggie, and her van load of MIB's. Not only that, but a near complete set of Mountain Boys, really neat other-country releases, and generally so much pony loveliness that we were all in a Pony Heaven. Thanks for shareing!

Baby Nightmare arrived with her some collection favorites, and a cute table covering her mother had made - so pretty!
She also gets the award for the Most Devoted Boyfriend, who lasted all 12hrs of ponydom. I'm impressed!

Tanya was co-host of the Festival, but to this momment, I can't figure out how she managed to go the day without her costume! *shakes head* While her collection could definately fill a website on it own, here are some of the highlights!
Barbara, aka Windwhisper, and her mom Anita, came with the most amazing collection of customs I have every seen. Everyone was drooling over Anita's Baby Brother customs, complete from thier hats down to thier shaggy little feet. It's no surpize that Dragon Dance swept away everyone's heart at the Costume Gala :)

I suppose it would only be fair if I threw on a picture of my collection too. Not just limmiting my self to ponies, I had on display a little bit of everything I collected, from Breyer Horses & Grand Champions, to Lady Lovely Locks and Strawberry Shortcake. Of course the ponies took front and centre, but I must say that 80's toys in general are wonderful thing. Especally when they are horses!
To the right is a close up on my custom Lady Ice Crystal (with her stallion sneaking a kiss from the left!). Behind her is the Pride and Joy of my Breyer Collection, Molly McGuire. Any Breyer collectors out there will know what I'm talking about :) | |
