~ Contests & Prizes ~

Now what would be a festival without a few games? And what would be games without some great prizes to win?! Here are those lucky ponies who rose above the rest with out-standing displays of knowledge, art, and sheer luck. Of course everyone who partisipated should get an award for effort, and we were happy to hear that everyone had a fantastic time. I can't wait to do it all again next year!

Tanya's Terribly Tricky Trivia ~

Don't say we didn't warn you! This was Tanya's chance to probe your brian for elusive morsals of obscure pony knowledge. (I had no part in it whatsoever... which was probably a good thing...) The first round came down to a tie between Flicker and Baby Ice Crystal. Flicker's discription of Baby Salty, the Seapony, is sure to go down in MLP Mythology. The winner was found by means of an "ID the Comb" blitz, with Baby Ice Crystal coming out ahead. Congrats, Ice Crystal, and enjoy the Baby Ruby!

Baby Ice Crystal says, "It's two in the morning and I want to go to bed, but look.... jewerly baby!"

Think you're good, huh? Try our SAMPLE QUIZ!
1. What pony is yellow with white & red hair?
2. How many gingerbread men dose Spanish Gingerbread have?
3. Name two types of ponies sold with both a comb and a brush.
4. Which TAF Pony was NOT made in Brazil?
5. How many Dream Beauties were made?

Question: Describe Salty. The sea pony.
Answer: As recorded at 2am, by Flicker

One upon at time there was a baby sea pony that met an old sea dog. The baby had no name. Salty threw his beer can at the baby pony. Dazed, the baby asked the butch his name for which to curse at. "*%$^# Salty" he said. Puzzled, the baby pony, high on salt water agreed they were on the same level, dazed and confused on Salty. Salt water isn't just in the water.

'NUFF SAID!
It was all very hilarious at the time:)

The Custom Contests ~

Firstly, I have to say there were some AMAZING CUSTOMS on display at this meet! We pony people are so creative :) It was heaven to be surround by so many great little pony creations!

The Regular Custom Catagory sported the best of the best, and the judging was difficult. In the end it was Anita's astounding Baby Wigwam edging out Fliker's sassy little Baby Thorn. Everyone was left gaping at the sheer complexity and skill of the customs on display. Anita won a re-hairer's dream kit.

If anyone has better pictures of theses ponies, please send them to me so I can post them!

The "Solstice Custom" was a special catagory created just for the meet. If featured more amazing customs, with Violet Starshine's dragon pony "Scorch" clearly leading the way. She recieved the Solstice Medalion and lots of admiration.

The Pony Pagent ~

Wow! There were some REALLY COOL COSTUMES here! The winner of the Fancy Arabian Costum was Anita for her simply amazing "Dragon Dance" costume and pony. We were all in awe; the picture speaks for its' self.

Globetrotter's Translations ~

Those who had to leave early, sadly didn't have the benefit of viewing the translated version of our names list that came out later that evening. In some cases, it really didn't help too much, but by then end of it everyone was feeling ready to tackle German Ebay and take on the Finnish Pony sites!

The winner of my special custom "Globetrotter" (also known as Lady Lessons) was very clearly a clever and multi-lingistical Violet Starshine, who made the rest of us want to go out and take german lessons. We now know who to call when we need an auction translated :)

Guess the Pony, Ebay Style ~

I don't think we'll let Sky Rocket use a webcam again. (Or make up trivia questions, for that matter :) It was actually a very close score, with one ponyperson nudging ahead to win by a nose. Windwhisper was the winner of the Pony Lot, yay! (And no, it wasn't the one with the TAF babies) So you know when you see her bidding on an acution in the future, she's got a pretty darn good idea of who she's bidding on!

Bobbing for Sea Ponies ~

What's a carnival-style festival without carnival-style games?! We certainly had a few of those :) Don't forget to check out "Bobbing For Seaponies", a game so exciting, it deserved it's own page!

The Forgotton Games ~

Last but not least, be sure to check out the "Games That Didn't Happen at the Meet" for the things we didn't quite get to. Here you will find a great tutorial on how to pin the tail on a pony, and learn what you COULD have done with the MLP Scavanger hunt. Oh well, can't win everything, lol!

And of course, if you have MORE PICTURES of anything from the meet and would like to share them, EMAIL US! Also, if you want to know if you got the right answers on your quizes, too...
