| Hailing from Atlanta, Myrna Sherwood is "subtle like a Topeka twister" as she puts it. An interesting eccentric with a colorful history and a long list of marriages, Myrna left her love-child Contessa on the doorstep of strangers so that the girl would not be raised by her abusive husband Clovis. Having been herself raised in an opulent but emotionally distant family, Myrna moved to Las Vegas at seventeen after giving up Contessa to pursue a career as a Vegas showgirl. At one of those shows she met the love of her life Clate Redwood, a successful entrepreneur and they moved to Lantana. Close friends with the less comfortable Mattsons and especially Esther Mattson, Myrna had a hand in raising Esther's daughters Rachel and Kendall when the woman and her husband died in a plane crash. After Clate died she traveled the world and married numerous times, with the marriages usually ending in some kind of horrible tragedy. After her last marriage to a Bolivian playboy ended however, Myrna returned to Lantana and helped Rachel finance the Tapestry Hotel. Quick with a comeback but blessed with a big heart, Myrna is supportive, loving and very stubborn. She adores the Mattson girls and together with her best friends, Dr. Jasmine Fallow and Lacey Gavin, dubbed the "Lantana Ladies" is always ready to offer a shoulder to lean on and a dose of truth to chew on. |
