FLORIDA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING On July 15, 2000, the Seminole Reservation Gym at Big Cypress, Florida, was the scenario for an extremely original and exciting Indy show. It was the scenario for one more confrontation between the experience, the brute force, the traditions and the innovations in pro wrestling. It was the scenario for another remarkable Florida Championship Wrestling show. The spectacle also included a fighting between the sensual Valets Babe and Ebony, and a mixed match between a man and an Alligator; not to mention the Machiavellian actions of the most diabolic and controversial manager in the state of Florida, the Master of Darkness, Abudadein, and the presence of the legendary Rocky Johnson, the Rock's father. From the exciting opening match between the fierce Hack Meyers and the courageous Latin Prodigy Tony Apollo, to the grand finale, the match between the former WCW superstar Joe Gomez and the merciless New Age Spoiler; It was a fulfilled of talent show. The card included the participation of the headliner superstar Billy Fives who once again flew like the eagles and the experienced Duke Droese and Anthony Michaels who brought their remarkable skills. In addition to all the well-seasoned veterans, the up and coming young stars, the Market Crashers, also contributed to make this FCW show a unique one. OPENING MATCH. Hack Meyers, managed by the Master of Darkness, Abudadein, faced the Latin Prodigy Tony Apollo. It was a hard battle for the Latin Prodigy, who had to fight not only a merciless wrestler, but his sneaky manager as well. Apollo dominated Hack through the perfect execution of his powerful aerial maneuvers. When Apollo was climbing to the top rope to execute his finishing move, the Latin Prodigy frog-splash, Abudadein threw something on his face, causing his fall from the turnbuckle. This interference by Abudadein allowed Hack to recover and pin an almost blinded Tony Apollo. A THRILLING VIDEO. The audience was able to watch on the giant TV screen installed at the gym, a videotape of all the thrilling pre-match adventures associated with the encounter between the New Age Spoiler and the Warrior, Joe Gomez as well as the humiliating actions against Gator John. These audacious adventures shown were the origin of the unique match stipulation that Vicious Winnie, the Spoiler's manager, could wrestle a live alligator in the event that the Spoiler loses the match. SECOND MATCH. The FCW Tag-Team champions, the Market Crashers, NA$DAQ and Mr. JONE$, and the challengers, Billy Fives and his partner, the South Beach Superstar, Anthony Adonis, took each other to the limit. As usual, Billy and Anthony displayed their aerial style through perfectly executed cross bodies and flying dropkicks and one of Billy's famous splashes from the turnbuckle. In a demonstration of their ferocity and of their cruel style, the Crashers displayed new, innovative and well-coordinated moves through a sequence of violent splashes, reversed neck breakers and savage flying elbows and legs. The violent action spilled out of the ring into the crowd. The final double count out was the reflection of an almost tied match. The champions retained the belts in a demonstration of their slight, but indubitable superiority. THE FIGHTING OF THE BEAUTIES. In a none-the-less surprisingly, violent and fervent fight, the two buxom and sensual valets, Babe and Ebony, attacked each other claiming supremacy in beauty, charm and feminine enchants. The massive intervention of the Security personnel became necessary to end the feline encounter. The two gals were convinced to forget their differences by the thousands of dollars shown to them by the Market Crashers' Manager, who abandoned the Reservation flanked by the two beauties. THIRD MATCH. The violent, savage and bloodthirsty Blackhart displayed all his vicious power to "welcome" to the FCW Casey Thompson. The Blackhart, who wasn't accompanied to the ring by his mentor and manager, the Master of Darkness, Abudadein, easily dominated the courage and the technical skills showed by Casey. FORTH MATCH. While the former WWF superstar, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, was making his ring entrance, the TV screen was showing a video of his glorious times in the WWF. During the particular match shown, Duke pinned HHH. This was a rival federations Heavyweight title vs. title match, during which, Duke faced another great wrestler, the FOW champion, Mr. Extreme, Pat McGuire. In finishing a non-stop action match, and after a run-in by Bobby Rogers, Duke pile drove Pat and joined his manager, Gino Jabrone and Bobby to punish Pat until the blood ran and the pain became excruciating. Although disqualified, Duke retained his FCW belt. FIFTH MATCH. A crowd in ecstasy welcomed the legendary Rocky Johnson, the Rock's father. Rocky was managing the Mayor of Davie, Dirty Harry Venis in a match against Bobby Rogers. To finish this impressive and full of violence match during which Bobby and Venis crashed and smashed on each other many baking shields and chairs, Venis body slammed Bobby for the victory. SIXTH MATCH. In what has been described as a "technical masterpiece", the superstar Anthony Michaels, one of the original Dudleys in ECW and a mainstay in Smoky Mountain for years, faced Wet Willy who was debuting in the FCW. Anthony, who is considered one of the best wrestlers within the state of Florida, displayed the best of his powerful and creative aerial maneuvers to dominate and defeat a non-easy to control Willy. Both valiant contenders must be commended for the extremely professional match they brought. THE MAIN EVENT.
