The Democratic National Party has set up its own little free ISP. That's really weird: a political party offering free Internet services. Still, it's free and I had to try it. The service is pretty bad, so I think I'm going to eighty-six this freebie from my PC.
Eventually, freeDEM.com went from free ISP to plain old portal to finally a goodbye page that only lives in Google's cache. If you attempt to visit the site, you just get redirected to an incredibly lame bulletin board.
Thank you for visiting the Democratic National Committee portal. We regret to inform you that the portal program has been discontinued. The following options for continued service are still available: [blah blah blah]
I guess that dollar I checkmark on my 1040 form every year doesn't help keep free ISPs afloat. ;-)
Don't ask me about my political affiliations. I'd describe myself as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Generally speaking, politicians are scumbags and retards, so as long as they aren't stomping on my face, I just ignore them.
