| Story: Life on Ant Island has always been the same. The ants gather food for the grasshoppers and when they, they can find enough food for themselves for the rain comes. But there is one ant who does not like this life and tries to find ways to make their lives a little easier. His name is Flik and his ways mean trouble. More then ones has his ideas brought him into trouble and that's the one thing that Princess Atta, who will be queen soon, can't have on her mind right now. When Flik accidently knocks over the pile with food, which falls all into the poll, the grasshoppers get very mad and the ants have to begin all over again. When Flik brings up the idea off bringing in bigger bugs to get rid off the grasshoppers, he is first taken for a fool. But when the other ants realize that this quest will send him away for days, they quickly send him on his journey. And Flik is off. In the city a group of circus bugs make one fault after another. They are fired and get themself into a fight woth some other bugs. When they by luck manage to knock out the other bugs, Flik takes them for heros and they think he hires them as an act. So they are on there way to Ant Island. When they get there, the ants first have to be persuaded to let the circus bugs "do the job". But when they realize what they have to do, the leave very quickly. Flik tires to stop them, but they won't listen. When the youngest daughter of the queen, Dot, is attacked by a bird, the bugs save their life. Flik brings up an idea to build a fake bird to scare away the grasshopper. The bugs agree to stay untill the bird is finished. Things look fine and a romance growns between Princess Atta and Flik, while the bugs finally feel they are usefull. But then P.T. Flea, the who fired them, drops by and reveals that the bugs are not warriors. The ants angrily send them away along with Flik. The start to gather food befor the grasshoppers return. When they do, they attack the ants for gathering far to less food. Hopper threatens to kill the queen. Dot hears this and goes after the bugs for help. They return and use the bird. But in the end, the bird catches fire and their trick is discovered. Hopper attacks Flik, but he makes the ant clear that they are much stronger than the grasshoppers. The ants fight off the grasshoppers. When it's time for the bugs to leave, things have calmed down on Ants Island. They can finally work peacefully and even use some of Flik's inventions. |
