| Story: After the dead of the king, England remains kingless. Only the one who can pull out the magical sword out of the stone is the thruthful king of England. But nobody's succeded and the sword stays in the stone for years. Then there is Arthur, called Ward, a want to be knight, who is just a page. Ward lives with Sir Ector and his son Kay, who doesn't seem to care much about him. Than one day Merlin and his trusty friend, the owl Archimedes, meet him in the forrest and Merlin sees in him the one and only kingof England and wants to educate him. Merlin convinces Sir Ector (with a little help from his magic) to let him be a teacher to Ward. So Ward gets lessons from Merlin, who teaches him a lesson that brains will get you further the strenght (while they are fishes). The he learns them that love is more powerful that any other force (while they are squirrels). And finally he even lets Ward come dream and change him into a bird. Things go awfully wrong and Ward gets up captured by Madam Mim, a witch. She wants to eat the little bird, but Merlin storms in just in time and challenge her into a magic duel. While Mim cheats, Merlin is still able to beat her. When Sir Pelinore comes by the castle to tell them that a contest is being held in London to deside who should be king, Ward is named the righthand of Kay, which Merlin doesn't like and he disappears. Ward and Archimedes go with the rest to London. When Ward forgets to take the sword to the contest, Kay sends him back. But the inn is closed and Ward discovers the sword in the stone. He is able to pull out the sword and brings it to the contest. When it is discovered that this is the sword in the stone, Ward is forced to pull it out again. When he does, he is been named King Arthur, King of England. Merling comes back in time to give his counsel to the young Ward, who still has a lot to learn. |
