| First Disneyland became a hit and then Walt Disney World became a smash. The Walt Disney Company thought it was time to think beyond the borders of America and they saw Japan as the new home of a Disneyland. But it was not the Walt Disney Company that build it. Oriental Land Company owns Tokyo Disneyland, but pays for the rights controlled by Disney. Tokyo Disneyland became just a big hit as his brothers in the USA. When it opened its gates back in 1983 it took just one year before 10 million visitors dropped by. So after 17 years it was time to expand. In the fall of 2001 Tokyo DisneySea opened its ports and will bring you to a whole new world. |
